What about LaVar???

what do people think about taking LaVar Arrington??? I heard on Espn while I was brushing my teeth this morning that he wants out of Washington???

He Might play a little to undisciplined for Saban's taste but he's a great talent

Yeah Washington's D coordinator (Gregg Williams) said he's the most undiciplined linebacker he's ever coached. I don't think he'll fit here.

I agree, he takes himself out of too many plays trying to make a big play.

Word around here is LaVar recently stated that he wanted to play for Schottenheimer again out in San Diego. Yes, this during a playoff run, he decides to say this. Okkkkkk LaVar

i dont think this is someone our coaches would want...i mean his team is making a legit playoff run and he says he wants out...i think it could of waitd untill after the season if he was gunna say it at all.....i guess to some people winning isnt everything:shakeno:

He's a great Linebacker in his prime and he's a leader I say take him.

Great linebacker? :sidelol: The guy doesn't even start on his own team. Look, LAvar has loads of talent, but is a major headache. Football is a team sport, and you v\can't have success with an ego like his.

LB option?

There have been lots of fodder over Peterson possibly becoming our next OLB via free agency. I have another thought. How about LaVar Arrington. He has the size and athletic ability Saban looks for and can play both 3-4 and 4-3. My guess is he will be cut from Washington this year and perhaps a change of scenery could morph some of his poor attitude. Nick may feel he can tame this character and probably could be had for far less money than Peterson. Thoughts?

I like the idea. I was watching NFL network last night and they were speculating that this may be Arrington's last year with the Skins. If this happens, I hope we try to sign him if we can't get Peterson. I think Arrington would come cheaper, and he's a very talented LB.
