Dolphins re-sign Lionel Turner

http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl

"The Miami Dolphins have re-signed LB Lionel Turner to a one-year, $275,000 contract."

He was in camp last year but was cut prior to the beginning of the season. He has good size and has a good understanding of the system.

He has been criticized for being slow of foot.

Ding Ding Ding

LSU ties.

Nick likes the kid- he was the MLB for the Tigers and basically called Nick's D.

He retired last year in July so it is very interesting to see that he is coming back. I hope he can make some plays for us! I guess he missed football

He was the MLB at LSU.

We signed him last year as an undrafted FA.

I forgot he had retired- interesting.

Perhaps (and this is a stretch) but perhaps he is being brought in as a "Player Coach"- he knows the system better then anyone and could be an interesting guy just to have in TC. Probably not, but its rare you see a guy "un-retire". Oh wait...

:)

Bringing out the big names!! Thank god for that CBA

Yeah I don't know if we could have signed him without the CBA! :D

How does a team "resign" someone? I thought that the person does that themselves? However, some teams do "re-sign" players. ;)

Looks like we wont be signing Arrington or Peterson.

;) Admit it- you were ready to post your angry rant!

HaHa...got me. Anyone know how to edit a thread title?

Good pick up from LSU, and Sabans old friend from when Saban coached Lionel Turner in LSU. Nice depth for the linebacker position. Lionel Turner retired then came back, and signed with Miami. He will fit good for special teams too. He was a Top 2005 Draft Prospect. He will have his first chance in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins.
