Remember last season when by the second day of FA we already had seven guys signed? That just showed how little depth and talent we had on this team entering last season.

When I look at this team, other than corner and maybe WR, I can't see glaring needs that must be addressed by bringing in bodies like we did last season.

The fact we have added only a safety and back-up interior linemen so far leads me to believe the Trifecta has put together a roster they feel much more comfortable with.

While we will still likely add a few more free agents, we're not going to need a complete roster overhaul like we did a year ago, which means we're getting closer to the "right 53 players" Sparano always talks about.

I know Parcells said we would add 18 new players, but I wonder if that number might be a few less than expected.

Other than Safety, we could add players all over the defense.

A Guard/Center wouldn't hurt, either.

I think OL will be added through Draft as well as DL. I think we will be targeting a Vet WR and CB. Look there are plenty of holes. BP said so himself the reason you are not hearing anything is because Miami is being super hush hush about who they sign.

Maybe the reason things are so quiet is that they are working on a trade for Peppers.

I really think that the LB position is getting very overlooked. Through the draft or FA I think we really need another play maker at LB. Crowder just doesn't do it for me for some reason. He is a good tackler, but he isn't really a playmaker and he gets burnt from time to time. I'm just not completely sold on him being a great LB.

We need a CB and WR with some experience. Mostly QB IMO I think once the line comes together a little better this year, we get another year of experience in the offense the running game gets going good our WR's will get time to go down the field and the QB can get some time to throw we dont really need a big name WR like many people think that we do.

Not spending the big bucks

Miami being quiet in this free agent market is a great sign that the organization is thoroughly examining the potential the team already has. Spending a extravagant amount of money on players is ludicrous. Sure they've played an outstanding season on their previous clubs, but is that enough to break the bank on these guys when obviously 'our' head honcho parcells has proven time and time again to find talent, groom them into great football players and make them into "team" players. History has proven that when these players move on to the next team that they didn't perform to their potential that they did on their previous team. Miami can find these gems in the draft. Lets watch these future miami rookies make their names into the "big names" of tommorow, and Miami contend to be an elite football team that there capable of......I hope some of you guys can agree with that:up:.
GO PHINS 09!!!!!!

I was reading an interview with the Fins coach in NFL.com and he made it very clear that the team will be built thru the draft, if you look at the PATs that's how they've done it.

Sorry but we'll have to wait for the draft.
