Actually the Colts can now add players. His cap number for 2004 went from 18.3 million to 8.2 million today. Goes up a couple million for 2005. The Colts are now 9-10 million under the cap. The contract is backloaded so the big pay days will come late in the contract. A few of those years there is no salary cap. Who knows what the cap will be whenever a new bargining agreement is reached.
The Colts are in great shape for the near future. Their fans must feel good to have one of the best if not the best player at the most important position on the football field for the next 7 years.
