Merged: Marino and Cuban to buy Pittsburgh Penguins??

Well, aside from the rivalry with the Heat, I think Mark Cuban's a pretty cool guy actually. He's a little off-the-wall, but he's ok when he's just talking to people. I think someone in VIP posted a story about how he wrote Cuban an email about something having to do with Michael Finley, and Cuban actually answered it and didn't just give a one word reply either he typed a whole lot and the two just emailed back and forth exchanging Michael Finley stories or something like that.
 
I actually like Cuban. He is good to his players and their families and relates with the fans.

No doubt I respect his fanhood, in a sense that he has his franchise's back in every way...........but he crosses the line quite a bit. I mean Jason Terry punched Michael Finley in the nutts during a playoff game, he gets suspended, next thing you know Cuban is sporting a Terry jersey. For what? He supports players throwing blows in basketball games? He's morphs himself from a pro-active owner into a giant blob of gimmick many times.

I guess we all might have different opinions on how an owner should conduct himself. I just don't like how he constantly upstages his players. What's annoying is that my team (The Suns) owner Robert Sarver seems to emulate him.
 
Cuban just acts the way all of us act watching a fins game, he just gets critisized cause its on national tv
 
Dan Marino interested?

Just heard on espn news that Dan Marino is considering, buying the penguins, i wish he would be our qb coach, now that would be nice,,oh also mark cuban is intrested in purchasing the penguins to,just thought id give u guys some news,it seems pretty slow around here,even tho its not big news,,

did ya npticed how i said i WISHED?...that means i dont see it happeneing but it would be nice,,imagine how good dante could be then...wow..
 
I have heard in the past and I tenf to agree. Dan Marino doesn't have the patience to be a Coach.

I could be wrong though.
 
mark cuban as a hockey owner could be very intersting, im sure the NHL would love that to bring some excitement to the league....id like dan to stay more towards football, if he were to be the owner of the penguins it would require much of his time and he would most likely stop doing his broadcast on fox for football...congrats to dan if he buys the team but id love to see him stay around and be more tied to the NFL than the NHL

In the NBA you have Isiah Thomas...great player.....but he bankrupted the CBA, horrible as a GM, and not good as a coach.

In the NFL, Dan Reeves and Mike Ditka were two great NFL players and head coaches....but most of the great NFL players seem to sit it out when it comes to coaching.
