I've been a Dolphins fan for 31 years. I've read finheaven almost everyday for the last 5 years, but I rarely post. But today, I had to come on and say I had goose bumps on my goose bumps. Dan's son speech was inspiring, but Dan's speech was legendary. It was so heartfelt, so genuine...you could feel his passion for the game. And that pass...my god, I'm so glad I was taping. I've watched it 5 times again already. I don't remember anyone going out like that. He truly looked like he could still play right now. What class. What dignity. What a winner. I was moved today like I haven't been since the 90's when Dan was still slinging it. Dan Marino is now, and will always be my favorite athlete in any sport. Thank you for giving us so much.

I agree with everything you said. I bolded what I am about to respond to. Did Dan Marino, today, just set another record in the NFL for most passes completed at a Half of Fame induction ceremony? If so, I hope they recorded the yards. I am sure Peyton will try to better that if he makes it. :tongue:
