MERGED: Marshall playing for worst QB of career? Really??

Lol @ anyone who would take Kyle Orton over Henne. And game manager? How well did he manage week 17 vs Chiefs with playoff implications on the line...he was pathetic.
 
Yah ignore my previous post. Henne is better than both of them.

And I think this is all he meant. I am and have been an adamant FF player for over a decade and have won a lot more than I've lost, and I can tell you that based on fantasy statistics his statement is correct. However, I think Henne will set the record straight this year, and even if he doesn't put up monster fantasy numbers as long as we win REAL games who gives a **** what some fantasy guru thinks?
 
this is a lot of like the posting that go on around here; for nothing more than to see if someone will disagree. If there isnt any news they will make up somthing.

I love the optimism, but you think he's in the same class as Manning, Brees, Rivers, Brady, Schaub, ect. who are all passing teams?
 
As a QB for Marshall, Orton is better than Henne. Orton, over the course of his career, has developed quite the rep for locking on to 1 WR and going to him non stop. Marshall had 21 catches in a game with Orton and another 100+ catch season. Then, when Marshall pretty much gave up, Gaffney became a god damned beast. Henne will spread the ball around much better than Orton.

I don't know if Henne is better than Cutler, but I'll say no until Henne gets another season in, simply because there isn't enough to evaluate.
 
don't hate me but i might take cutler over henne - right now at least. that bears offense was/is abysmal - no receivers or backs and a crappy line. cutler shreds defenses on this team next season - just an opinion.

henne MIGHT be the next coming. liked what i saw last year. but i still don't know. cutler's shown me a little more - and was the superior prospect coming out of college.
 
if i had my choice of henne, orton or cutler to start training camp with us this year i'd take aaron rodgers, i mean henne.
 
Are you guys serious? Do you play fantasy football at all? I'm talking for money, not for free. I'm a dolphin fan, and my heart says Henne all the way... but if I've got $50 on the line I'm taking Cutler every day of the week. He had next to nothing for an o-line last year, and questionable WR's, and still was #15 OVERALL in points in my league last year. Orton was #30 overall... Henne was #95 overall.

Here's how the ratings went in my league last year (2009 stats)

Cutler 3666 yards 27 TDs - 292 fantasy points
Orton 3800 yards 21 TDs - 268 fantasy points
Henne 2878 yards 12 TDs - 187 fantasy points

Yeah, that's right, I was shocked too... Orton nearly doubled up Henne in TD's. Now... Orton looses Marshall this year and Henne gets him, so Henne SHOULD be able to make a huge leap. I'd take Henne for sure if it were between him and Orton... based on what I think will happen this year. Henne has a MUCH larger upside than Orton, however... up until week 1 of this season, what that guy said in the article is correct... statistically speaking, Henne is the worst QB Marshall will have had. At the end of the season I really hope we can say differently. Sad part is, the money for my league is due week 1, not week 17. :up:
