Did not see this posted yet.......The Palm Bech Post is reporting that Martz is to be interviewed as soon as thursday.

Personally I feel the thought of pairing Martz with a strong GM such as Reese, Pioli, or an empowered Mueller could be very interesting.

But we would need to retain Capers or get someone of equal skill to be the DC for us to have success with Martz, IMO.

Confirmed:

The Dolphins will interview Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz later this week as part of their head-coaching search.

Most near the Lions believe Martz is staying but he's said publicly that he'll take a look at head jobs. The Dolphins will hold the interview in Detroit, signaling that this wasn't Martz's idea. His offense would suit the skills of Chris Chambers and Marty Booker, but we'd be interested to see Martz function with a big-name QB like Daunte Culpepper.

The rate we have been going with Detroit Lions signings, I think this will happen!!

Honestly Martz was initially under my "Hell No" list because I think he is a bit of an Jerk(and that is being kind), but I have warmed to the idea. The main reason for this is that he has managed to make Kurt Warner, Marc Bulger, and an elderly John Kitna into prolific passers. I agree that ideally he would be our OC, but I like him better than Carroll for our HC spot. Atleast Martz won't pull a Saban and say that he prefers playing with young boys in 2 years.

OK so we would have our passing game covered. Would it be possible to hire a running game coordinator, since Martz is allergic to the run game?

Chris Collinsworth on Inside the NFL on HBO, said Martz would be a great fit for the Dolphins, get the passing game going.

Would be interesting to see.

Mike Martz is crazy, that's all. I am not knocking is ability to be a coach, and he would help us. He just has mental issues.

OC yes, HC No. And I would think he is waiting for Detroit to get their QB in this draft.

I really hope we get him. At least miam's offense will be fun to watch again. with capers on defense and martz taking care of the offense this team has a real shot of playing great football next season
