And I thought NOBODY was going to catch it. Matt Ross is a good player I saw him play alot last year, i got to Purdue and see all the Big 10 games, but I wouldnt expect much of an impact this year.
 
If Roth performs like this for the Dolphins - instant new favorite player.
 
I watched every game Roth played and all of those hits in the video were legal. The Purdue kicker got a kick block and the ball was on the ground, Roth laid him out once Iowa recovered. Roth is good because he is lighting quick and know how to get in the others guys head. He was a State Chamion wrestler in highschool so he knows all about leverage. He will have some growing pains, like adjusting to the increased speed of the game but he will still get his hits. The motor won't stop and he brings everything he has every snap of the ball. Something this team lacked for a lot of years. Guys like him, Taylor, Thomas and Crowder is the kid of work ethic I expect from here out. These guys have played like this for a lot of years but lets face it a lot of the other guys didn't and it is disrespectful to them and the new guys want to be like them.

Out of the moves I was upset we had to let Pat go instead of same but it got us Roth so that takes some of the sting out it. Bring on the season.
 
The best part of the video was when he ran over that kicker or punter from Purdue I believe

That and any time the commentators said something

Like the part about "his idea of a workout drill is two players running from endzone to endzone and hitting in the middle"

I liked the video...He is definately one of those: "Glad he is on our side" kinda players. I cant wait to see him destroy a few QB's in the afc east.

If anyone was a "poor man's" Chris Kelsay they wouldn't be in football, they'd be selling doughnuts at Krispy Kreme.

You guys put me in this mood.

But anyways, What I wanted to say is that he is the same player as Chris Kelsay.

The only different is Kelsay was projected to go late 1st and Roth was projected early 2nd. Both went in the 2nd. Both are high motor and very intense players.

Kelsay is just faster than Roth.

Yeah. ALot of people had ROth in the last 5 picks of the 1st and some had him early 2nd.

Kelsay, maybe it was lack of DE talent in the draft, was slotted as a 15-25 pick.

Both guys slid down in the 2nd.

They play similar.

Kelsay isnt a bad player either. Hell, hes our starting LDE and had 4.5 sacks, which all of them seemed to be late in the season. He was comming on strong for us.
 
I can't wait till pre-season to see him hit somebody!
