McMichael needs to calm down...

that little outburst by him beating his hand on the field while on his knees looked so unprofessional. As a veteran, he should show more composure after a broken play, I would expect that from a rookie not him. It looked like sage went over to him on the sidelines and told him to calm down for hevens sake. I know the guy has alot of passion and wants to win, but gimmie a break. Hopefully Saban gave him a earfull afterwords.

I agree. When he was on the ground doing that, I'm saying, "Get the **** up you little GIRL!! Go over and support the defense!! Get ready for the next play!!"

I see he's emotional but, outbursts like that make him look like a spoiled little kid.

It pissed me off when I saw that crap.

I didn't mind it one bit. I'd much rather have our players fired up then not caring. Speaking of which is it just me or does Gilmore look like he could care less and was just waiting for the game to end.

Fired up is one thing, i don't know what that was that he was doing. He needs to be a leader on offense, leaders don't do that. This might me one of the reasons why he has been inconsistant as well, things don't go his way he freaks out.

Gilmore's confidence is shot.

Are you serious????? God Freakin Forbid one of our players wants to win so badly that he that he gets utterly pissed/upset when something goes wrong towards the end of the game. Did you not see him after the play on the sideline all fired up in Sage's face, then grabbed him in what looked like to say.....It's ok, we can still do this. Did you read/hear about him tearing up after the game he was so happy and emotional??? Give me at least 22 players that will pound their fists into the ground after a horrible play because they want to win so badly, and I will be happier than a pig in S***

I swear some of you people don't want the players to do anything other than just play......."Hey don't have a life, don't show any emotion, don't celebrate when something good happens and for God's sake don't have any freakin fun"

Well, following that play he went over on the sidelines and helped fire Sage up, which IS what a leader does. (I remember seeing him talking to Sage on the sidelines).

The disappointment may not have completely faded until the winning score because Rosenfels threw what seemed to be a comeback-killing interception with 2:29 to play. But he was back on the field with 1:51 left and had the confidence of his teammates even before leading the winning 73-yard march.

'I said to him, `It's not over.' I asked him, 'You ready to win this game?' '' tight end Randy McMichael said. 'He said, `Yes.' And that's what he did.''

:stupid: Agreeable... finally a heartbeat in the team.... and in the offense!?

I guess some are too long removed (or never experienced) the emotions of game day... at any level.... the NFL game is violent, brutal and emotional.... Randy was just being a human being.... let it be... at least it was real and not some contrived display.

Are you serious??? Just like a lot of other posters on this board you take what is said and distort it to what you think was said. Nobody said anything about what he did on the sideline....We were commenting, or at least I was, on the specific temper tantrum he threw like a two year old child on the field immediately after the INT.

I'm glad that he apologized to Sage, he should have. I'm sure Sage felt bad enough about it without having to see a teammate literally melt down over it.

You guys can glamorize the emotion of it all you want but, It certainly wasn't a display of strength or support for his teammate.

I rather liked seeing some heart out of Randy....some other players need to do the same.

I was experiencing the same emotion as he was, I guarantee you that.

It was an honest display of emotion in that moment.... he got past it... and moved on to contribute to the final drive.... why judge it?

maybe if randy wasnt droppin balls i can see him beating on the ground like that but he had some drops too. he shoulda been beating himself and not the ground.
