McMike's Taunting Penalty

Isn't there taunting on just about every play in the NFL? I mean when somebody's tackled hard, isn't it just about every time that the tackler or someone else on his team probably says something like, "and just STAY down there punk!" or something?

Is it only when the viewer at home can actually SEE the taunting that it's flagged? Not real fair today if so.

I was in the corner of the endzone Randy scored on. What they didn't show on TV (I watched it when I came home) was him running up to the stands and tossing the ball to a group of Dolphins fans, which was really cool! I had my hand on the damn ball, but another guy got it... at least he was a FinFan.

Anyway, it was really confusing and unclear at the game exactly what the penalty was actually for. Me and my buddy thought it had something to do with him celebrating and/or throwing the ball into the stands.

Watching it after i got home, it was total BS.

yet steve smith didnt get flagges for his antic against arizona...go figure

Right before he crossed the goal line he stuck the ball out in Milloy's face, it was uncalled for but should not have been a penalty IMO.

This guy has created his own reputation on this issue. Aparently Saban has no control over these guys.

Ya think? Saban's only one man. He can't control what someone else does.

The McMichael Penalty... or was it?

This penalty really ticked me off :yell:..... The refs sucked today, as usual. Their is no consistency whatsoever with the refs

Example: Last year, AFC Championship game, Patriots vs. Steelers, 4th quarter.
The Patriots run a reverse with Deion Branch and as Branch runs towards the endzone (just like McMichael) he waves goodbye at the Steelers defender right behind him. Branch was basically taunting the guy bye-bye because his season is over after he scores his TD that the guy has to watch him score because he can't catch up to him.
Did the refs call a penalty on this...................NO!!!

McMichael only held the ball out infront of the defender which I thought wasn't a big deal.

This shows the refs have favorites. I know this call wouldn't have been made if it were the Pats who were doing it.

Refs were being a bit nit picky.I for one thought the call on Mcmike was B/S.I kinda think if they're gonna flag him for that,Clements should have been flagged for his little dance after his INT.oh well, its all water under the bridge now.

Just because he tells someone to do something, doesn't mean they're going to do it.

The BS penalties have to STOP! :fire:

I love Mcmichael as a receiver, but he celebrates every time he catches the ball. It is out of hand.

We have to start treating the refs like crap if they're going to continue to make BS calls like that.... Their were other calls they missed that I saw but I know they're only human. But if they wouldn't call that penalty on The Pats, why call it on the Phins, that's not right.

He was celebrating. Apparently he doesn't make as much as TO, Moss, Chad Johnson -- or anyone like that... He can't get away with doing stuff like that.

What if the dolphins just sign some crappy guy to like a 1 yr 6 million dollar contract to just go in when the refs make a dumb call and take out the ref. That would stop them from making horrible calls. Im sure we would only be able to do it once, but that one time would be hilarious and a great revenge for being so bad at their job.
