Michael Tanier From Foxsports.com said this (sorry if its laready posted)

Ricky Williams is back.

Now, any hack sportswriter would use the erstwhile running back's return from suspension as an excuse for lots of dreadlocked, tie-dyed cannabis humor.

But this hack sportswriter has higher  oops, make that loftier  standards. After all, Williams has been a model citizen since returning to the Dolphins. Teammates are thrilled with his attitude. Coaches are marveling at his work ethic.

That's right: Ricky Williams, hard working team player. There's a sentence you never thought you'd read.

The Williams return is a non-issue, anyway. He's an overrated runner who isn't going to have much of an impact on the field. His role as the Dolphins' featured back has been ably filled by Ronnie Brown. And his role as an embarrassing international party animal is now being ably filled by Tara Reid.

Does he not remember these stats not too long ago- 2002Dolphins161638318534.82003Dolphins161639213723.5
He learn sooner or later..........:shakeno:

messed them up again:fire: just thinking about how the dolphins lost that game last week gets me this way 2002- 383 att for 1853 yards
2003- 392 att for 1372 yards

Media Pundunts Should STFU!!!!

I am beginning to get a little annoyed by the medias obvious desire to create a running back controversy in Miami.

Only in dumb sports articles like this:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_y...YF?slug=cr-notebook101205&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

is anyone not excited to have them both in the backlfield. I now understand now why Saban has decided to lock down on the media access like its the Kremlin. When the overall majority of the fans want to see them both in the backfield, and the players themselves seem to be excited about it, why try and stir up sh*t?

The have yet to play ONE DOWN and they are already second guessing Saban.

Here would be my solution:

Please have every media writer forget all about the Miami Dolphins this year. Please write us off in every game we play. Ignore us completely...because its obvious to you we arent going anywheres. The fans dont want anyone jumping on our bus anyways.

Another Einstein who thinks having two great backs is like having "two left hands". :shakeno:

Or in this case..two left feet. Hell this scenario even works in Madden!!!!

Ridiculous. If you think he won't win the game for us that's one thing. But to say that he's overrated and won't make a difference? Give me a break.

Let him say what he wants yahoo sports is not even a major sports site just another crappy one like PFT.

You said it!

"Overrated runner"---anybody who denies that Ricky is a great talent is nuts. Ricky looks to be in great shape and had some brilliant flashes in the preseason. If he is as good as he was when he retired, then he'll play like a PB'er.

Christ, this guy makes it sound like Ricky was retired for 10 years and is coming back out of shape.
