The article mentions these:

That money could go a long way in the free agent market, where the list of prominent players figures to include quarterback Drew Brees, wide receiver Reggie Wayne, offensive tackle Jeff Backus, cornerback Charles Woodson and linebacker Julian Peterson.

Heh, we could use all those guys. It'll sure be interesting though to see if we go after Brees or get our QB in the draft.

I love the new era... :cooldude:

Correct me if I'm wrong but wont being 25 mill under mean we didn't resign half our team??? ..once we're done reisigning our guys we'll be back where we are.

Na man... some people are gunna be cut (or playing for peanuts after restructuring) and all the one year contracts or ones that are ending that will walk like Feeley, Reggie Howard, McMike, Boston, Shulters, Holliday, Seau, McDougle, McKinney, Sammy Morris, Minor, David Bowens, Chatman... ect...

We will resign a few (hopefully McMike)... but the rest will all get replaced in FA and the draft...

After all is said and done... we will prob have around 15-20 mil to work with in the offseason...

Nasty

these names really dont excite me to much, there must be better players hopefully

Julian Peterson is awsome and I would love to have him. He is one of the best LB's in football but doesnt really get credit for it because he is on such a bad team and has been a bit injured. The first player that came to mind even before I saw that list was Drew Brees. I think he would be very good in our offense and we wouldn't have to wait for a rookie QB to develop. I'm sure there will be others as well though. If this is true though it is awsome news.

I hope every player on the fins team reaches every incentive they have written in their contracts.Hopefully that will drop that number down a little :goof:
