Merged: Miami now talking with Gholston

Nothing surprising. Been widely reported that we will talk to 4 or 5 of the top prospects to see what kind of contract each is looking for. It is nice that they are actually following through on this. It would be great to have the #1 pick signed before the draft.

I would expect talks with Dorsey as well, although I think he's the least likely pick.

I don't think the Dolphins have any interest in Dorsey. He isn't big enough for the middle in a 3-4 scheme. After watching him play in college and I see the way he uses his leverage, Dorsey will not be long in the NFL. He will have back problems that will end his career early. IMO.

Gholston and dorsey are smokescreens.

What I think has happened is Parcells is near resigned to the fact that the Fins can't trade #1. He is still going to try and drum up some interest with obvious players of value just to test the waters.

If we get Long here, we could have a real offensive line. And there is nothing more fun then watching an offense when they are solid up front. Ronnie and Ricky can run, and Beck can have the time to find Ginn deep.

Hell, The Vikings had a nice record last year with no QB at all and an amazing Oline. And they were fun to watch.

JL and Dorsey are SS IMO.

It's down to CL and VG

This decision puts pressure on Chris Long if he is our real target to negotiate with us without play hardball. Of course I have also seen that the Raiders like this guy so maybe Bill is trying to get them to bite.
