Merged: More Pete Carroll Info........

I can't believe Carrol would leave USC to come back to the AFC East. And I don't know if I want him anyway.
 
Intruiging but if Carroll was taking the job wouldn't you think he would have gone back to Cal to meet with Kirwan and get his stuff togethor as opposed to Kirwan going to Costa Rica?

Not if he privately wanted to get Kirwans opinion and advice first.

By the way, this just in, I am listening to Pat Kirwan on Sirius NFL radio as we speak, his partner asked him twice about the Huizenga, Pete Carroll rumors, he pretended to not to hear the question twice and laughed, he never answered the question really.
 
We might get Pete Carrol. I like the guy and i'd be happy with someone that has NFL headcoaching experiance. In the right situation he could be successfull in the NFL. He WANTS to be in the NFL because it is the most competitive.
 
Pete Carrol was run out of the AFC East twice. Is this the guy we want? We just had a guy who was a better college coach than Pro coach. Do we really want to do this all over again?

Thats true Carroll probably figured being out of the country noone would find out about this and now that we did he might not want to come back until a deal is finalized so he would have answers for the press.
 
I want Carroll. The guy is a great coach, and he's also the kind of coach that players respect / enjoy playing for. Make it happen Wayne!!!....

I like Carrol. He seems to be a great guy. Wouldn't mind drinkin a sixer and shooting the s**t with him, but he was fired by the Jets and Patriots. Has he or the division changed enough to think that he'll be successful this time around?

That makes me think something is up. Until now, I wouldn't think Carroll would leave SC, but if P Kirwan is dodging questions about the situation, I think PC is at least having trouble deciding if he wants to go back into the pros.
 
Guys, Kirwans reaction to those questions on Sirius radio are pretty telling to me. I think this might happen.
