Yeah, I just watched it. Clayton said it doesn't matter that Ricky is coming back, the $8.6 million is going to stick. They said he will report on time and most likely make the vet min. Then they want on to say how Ricky needs to really prove to his teammates that he is sorry for leaving them last year and that he probably won't get a very good welcome on Sunday.

All Ricky really needs to do is make up and prove himself to the team leaders and no one else. If the team leaders are okay with this, then everything else will fall into place.

No. He has to prove himself to the entire franchise.

I will be surprised if he plays for the vet min. I know he doesn't have a leg to stand on in the negotiations but come on. Didn't I read somewhere that he said in no way will he play for the min. or was that his agent?

Without a doubt. From Huizenga on down - he needs to prove himself and, IMO, apologize. I remember comments by JT and Seth McKinney (who he singled out when quit). They're not going to easily forgive and forget.

Thats not true. The team leaders are the only ones he needs to prove himself to. If ZT, JT, Jr. S will forgive him, then everything else will fall into place. Remember, the game is for the players and NO ONE else. Not the owners, coaches, fans, and whoever else falls into this group.

A 200 yd game against the Bills or Jets and I'll forgive him.

We all will. It's all about winning.

No we all won't. I will never forgive him no matter how many yards he gets. I'm not going into the "he said Wannstedt ran him into the ground."

Like I've said a million times before, to me, it's not all about winning. It's about respect and how he made the Dolphins look like laughing stocks, and we were all talking about it on this message board when he quit, in the NFL.

I never want to see him in a Dolphins uniform again. Again, that's my personal opinion. I would rather win with integrity than win with him.

And I disagree with you about the fans. How much money have the fans spent on his t-shirts, bobbleheads, jerseys, etc. He owes them something - at the very least, an apology, which he refused to give on his 60 minutes interview.

If i was Ricky and i hope that he does do this, i would work my butt off each and every day. I also would hang out with some of the guys after pratice to try to get my trust back. The last thing he should do is forget about what he did and move on to whats ahead of him. Now i know that the media will be all over him this year and it will be interesting to see what he has to say.

Hey Nub,

If Ricky comes back and returns to Pro Bowl form and leads us to a Super Bowl win, are you still going to keep the same avatar? I hope so, cracks me up whenever I see it.
