Bucky Brooks from SI.com ranks who he believes are the top 25 receivers in the NFL, following Peter King's QB ranking. If you thought Trent Green at 26 was bad, check this, there are no Phins receivers in the list. I hope CC, Booker, Hagan or Ginn make this guy eat his ranking (with a little honey mustard sauce the paper may be palatable).

its not a big deal. those rankings mean nothing this time of the year. its just an opinion and nothing more.

Calvin Johnson?

I might be the biggest Calvin fan ever.....I think he is going to be absolutely amazing. To put a rookie on a list over guys who have produced for years is unfair though.

Randy Moss doesn't belong there anymore....he hasn't produced in years. Maybe top 25 but NOT top 10.

Torry Holt should be #1. Yes he had a down year last season, but he is the best receiver in the game.

Santana Moss had a down year last season....I don't know if he belongs there.

Steve Smith is not the best receiver in the game.....top 10 even 5 yes, #1 no.

Those were the ones that stood out the most to me. For the record I don't believe any of our receivers are top 25 based on last season, I just don't like his list.

Well none of our WR should be shocked not to be on this list. Whether it be sub par performance by the WR's or just not good QB play, our passing game has been substandard at best. They can look at it and be motivated to be better, but should not feel like they were slighted by the rankings. I do think we will have a top 25 WR on this team this year but as the rankings are now, no Phins should be there IMO.

To be honest im getting sick of every press know-all slagging the Fins off every time i hear rankings at different positions. I know we arnt the best or above average as last years showing proved but i hope Cam can keep all these press cuttings and put them on the locker room wall when the season starts. Nothing like MOTIVATION. Let the players prove them wrong because we as fans can only say so much.

I hate to say it but I kind of agree with him based on last season.

CC was about the only top 25 receiver we had....but this was a couple years ago when he was a pro bowler. I think receivers are only good as the QB's throwing to them. Hopefully we can improve in the QB and WR department, but you have to say this guy was right....we don't have a top 25 receiver RIGHT NOW.

I agree...how can anyone complain our offensive players are top 25 when they stunk so badly last year. Maybe seeing something like this will light the fire under Hagan, Booker, and especially Chambers to do something special.

Somebody has to throw them the ball. With an immobile QB and a bad offensive line they will stay out of the top 25.

That is so true...Chambers stunk it up last year. What number do u think chambers should be?

You say, Holt should be number 1 although he had a down year but at the same time this should be the reason to have Santana Moss slide down a few spots?

Moreover, I do think Steve Smith is the best receiver in the NFL. He gets his number called on almost every play, has no supporting cast on the receiving end and yet he manages to get open each and every play. He catches just about every ball and he makes yards after the catch.
Now, imagine what he would do with a solid #2 receiver and a more than average QB.

I dont agree with 18 - 25.. Deion Branch? L. Coles? M Clayton? I think these guys should be closer to the bottom

Santana Moss has had one season with over 80 catches, and two seasons with over 1000 yards. He was supposed to finally put it together for back to back years and didn't, that is why he shouldn't be where he is.

Torry Holt is the fastest WR ever to 10,000 yards, has had over 1000 yards ever year of his career except his rookie year. Has 7 years of over 80 receptions, 5 of over 90, and 2 of over 100. Even in his 'down year' he had 93 receptions, over 1000 yards and 10 TD.

Steve Smith has only had 3 years of 1000 yards in his career, last year had less receptions, yards, and touchdowns than Holt. It was the second best year of Smiths career, and one of the worst of Holts. Smith benefits by being the only great receiver on that team, he doesn't have to share touches ever. Also by #2 receiver do you mean a guy like oh say....Keyshawn Johnson? He has an above average QB already also.

Santana didn't have a down year....he had a horrible year. (for what he was expected to do)

Smith may be explosive but he is NOT the best WR.
