And often wear down. this might help there too. I think the successful niners of the 80's had "light" practices during the season and were questioned for it (but how can we question their success?). Also, Saban talked about stressing "fitting on" players to tag them or something like that. He said it was about getting into position and when a guy tags but was out of position for a real would be tackle, the point is stressed to him. I believe that detail would definitely be stressed in a Saban camp from what I read.
