Can anybody help me here I downloaded the Divx Player Downloaded the Torrent file but when I go to open it in the the Player it comes up with an:
Error opening file:
Failed to open file. Please check that it is a valid AVI or MPEG-4 file

The Name is Fins[2].Rams.10242004.divx.avi So I dont understand the problem
I think your problem is that you loaded the torrent file and not the video file.Once you have installed the client it should open up automatically when you open the torrent file(Text). Then it will ask you where you want to load the video file.

Dont forget to install the codecs.

So.... once I have downloaded the torrent file and the divx player I should...

How do you change it from a text file to a video file

It asked me where i wanted to open it and chose divx player

Crunchtime need help Ive been trying since last night, I downloaded pretty much everything that I needed from the newbie page, but everytime I click on the link I still get the "cannot display page" what the heck am I doing wrong? I went to Lokitorrent main page and tried to search the fins.rams game but it wont even come up. All i see is the steelers fins game. Help? anyone?

Ok, I've completed the download of the Rams game. So this brings me up to the following games that I am seeding:
PreSeason
Bucs
Jaguars
Regular Season
Titans
Bills
Patriots
Jets
Steelers
Bengals
Rams
Other
Dan Marino Heart of a Champion
Miscellaneous clips of seasons past and camp clips

All are presently being seeded.

Thanks gentlemen.

8 hours and 2 minutes to download it all. Looks nice.

I'll seed the rest of the day.

You have to install a client first.Choose the official one.Page should open after that.

Downloading now at 220kb/s and uploading at 25kb/s...says it has an hour left. I'll leave it on for a long time afterwards to help seed.

I have chosen the official one and even installed it twice I also have the codecs, but Im still not able to open the link that you posted, getting frustrated and have tried everything that I know, I guess just my luck we win one and can't even watch it, well thanks crunchtime for your time, I guess I'll just keep trying.

Maybe the link you have is incorrect.Try the one that is on my first post.

Download the file by Right Clicking and Save As... to your desktop. Open the file on your desktop by Right Clicking using the Open With.. command then choose your bttorrent client. If that doesn't get the proggie running I dont know what will.

Hey folks.

Wanted to let you know that the problem with seeding starting so late last night was due to a program called XBT. It looked like a real cool way to keep track of multiple torrent uploads and downloads...it was recommended by torrentbox to make the torrent file. Well, it ran, and looked good, but somehow, it wasnt allowing me to seed. I had to uninstall it in order to seed the file.

As far as the new tracker, I think it is fine. Although I am a newbie at torrents, my guess is that the fluctuations in download and upload speeds are more due to the number of seeders and leechers logging on and off. If the tracker is up, it is up. I could be wrong about that, but that is my limited understanding.

Lokitorrent sucks, IMO, there are many times that I go to that site and it doesn't load. I'd like to see if we can stick to this new one or some other tracker that is reliable.

How was the file? I capped it with a different method. It relieved the jerkiness, but may have effected quality.

Let me know.

Once the download is complete how do you open it and view the game. My download is complete but i can't open the game. ??

I am at 77 pct so I cant give you an evaluation yet. When I say the tracker is unstable its because I know the difference on trackers at least on my PC.The last one we did on lokitorrent really flew for me.With this new tracker my speed goes up to 20 K then drops to zero the up again. Its cyclical.I have seen this b4 and its usually related to a unstable trackers. But what the heck.As long as it works. We have to learn something from this.Torrent site crashes happen often and we need to have alternate sites.

I also signed up for one that Medieval uses.
www.torrentmania.net and signed up as
FinFans (Note the additional "s") Password :finheaven.

So my priority suggestion for the future would be
1- www.lokitorrent.com
2- www.torrentmania.net
3- www.torrentbox.com

Why lokitorrent first?.Only because people have learnt to look for it there and because we know the trackers work well. Its only a suggestion. If you dont like it we will stick to a site you feel comfortable with.
