he has been good for years but he has declined lately and i like to see a new kicker in there...
 
Well I don't see how u fault him after today, he was steady . . . and got screwed on a delay of game. When it rains it pours, and everybody is struggling, it goes like that sometimes. No question he isn't MR. consistent like before, but I wouldn't feel comfortable with anybody else right now.
 
If he could make a clutch kick, we'd be going for the tie right now instead of to get within 3...he's a joke
 
Although I agree we may have to start looking for a new kicker, I'm not saying it because of this last kick.

It's not Mare's fault we put him in pressure situations.

It's the coaching staff's fault. They need to get their head out of their ***** and start coaching!!!

The whole team sucks and the only thing you can think of it to get rid of the kicker????? Because he misses a 52 yarder? :o This gets sooooo boring

Dude, its not about just one kick here and there. Its about his PAYCHECK and how it affects the cap and our ability to sign better players at other positions.

He gets paid like a top of the line kicker and he doesnt produce like one.

He refused to take a paycut or restructure this year. REFUSED.

So if anything the pressure is on him to make the kicks rain or shine, from the 10 yard line or the moon.

He says he's worth the 1.5 million a year for a kicker he needs to prove it or we let him go and get the same results from someone at 200,000.
 
Mare went 3/4 only miss was 52 yards. A kicker shouldn't be expected to always make 50+ yard FGs
 
Are you ALL freakin stupid!? Did he give up a seventy yard run? Did he drop what 6-7 passes today? Was the offensive game plan called by Olindo? If you want to make one person accountable it is the man you all thought was a god. That's right, Nick Saban takes ALL the blame. When you can only win one game there has to be something terribly wrong. It is up to Saban to figure it out and fix it. Not Mare.

If you do not know what is going on then keep your mouths shut because ignorant posts like these keeps knowledgeable fans from wanting to come on here.

Attention MODS, this is why some of us choose not to pay to come on here and see such stupidity.

I'm sure that extra 500 thousand we have invested in Mare would have us VASTLY helped this team in other areas. U forget he made the 47 yarder and would have been 4 for 4, but this team is just completly out of it.
