I, like any true dolfan, wanted to beat the Jets and eliminate them from the playoff. But considering everything... here are 3 things that will help me feel better:

1. The lost today moved us up 6 spots in the upcoming draft. As of right now, we moved up from 16 to 10.

2. Lemon showed me something. True, he didn't go out there with a big "S" in his chest, and he made some mistakes....but he showed that in a very wet and nasty field he could move the chains. I believe that his play during the last 2 weeks have earned him a starting spot next week. Lets see what the kid can do with a week of practicing with the 1st team.

3. Ronnie Brown came back looking really good. Considering that he was playing in really bad conditions I was more worried about him not getting re injured than how his play was. But he showed me that he is the real thing.

Only thing I saw that was good, was Brown looked good in his first game back. I know the Jets run D is garbage, at least he showed he can run against the teams he is supposed to run on.

As far as Lemon goes, its good to see his is mobile, and can move around and create a little extra time to throw. Other than that though, cant really tell just by watching a half of football.

He probably wont get a shot next year, if Daunte is at 100 percent and ready to play. He may move up from number 3 to a backup role, thats if they got rid of Harrington.

1. I find little "positive" in a consolation draft pick.
2. Lemon played OK, but they simplified the offense a lot. When he did have to make decisions he made some poor ones, for instance, the throw to Welker in triple coverage, the duck ball throw off his back foot into the flat when he was pressured, and the ball that was almost picked off. He played OK, but I wouldn't annoint him the saviour yet.
3. I agree, RB looked good, with some nifty running.
4. I agree with the second post, Hagan showed a little something.

OK, where was VICK? I didn't see him all night...?

I agree with this and with the Hagan post as well. Lemon was a mixed bag but I believe he showed he's better than JH. I also liked RB's vision and power. He can be a work horse for us if he's used right.

I agree that what we have seen during the last 2 weeks is not enough to crown Lemon as our saviour at QB. But in the time that he has been out there he has done enough to show us that he could be a legit #2 Qb in this league. As far as Joey...He wont be back next year!

1.

If I remember correctly he came in in one play, where Joey tried a screen pass to him. He didnt catched the ball, and i didnt see him again. Hopefuly Saban lets the rooks play a lot more next week.

Wasn't that Vick who was in for the fake end around?

Other thoughts: Lemon Looks better (or at least as good) than JH from what little I have seen the past couple games. Hagan looked pretty good and tough out there making catches.

Great points.

Hagan showed that he can overcome the drops that hurt him since the Senior Bowl. Perhaps it was because Lemon has better touch than Joey? McMichael stepped up and made some nice catches on his TD drive. Mularkey did a nice job of building some confidence in him and in Cleo with that well designed TE screen.

This is my biggest complaint about Mularkey, I know he hasn't had a solid field general in Joey for most of the season, but he doesn't seem to know how to manufacture confidence in struggling players with some easy plays. The offense is all about rhythm, and even when one aspect of the game is going well, like the running game tonight, Mularkey can't seem to capitalize and build on any of it.

Back to the positive, the defense played well for all but 1 play. If they don't break that screen, or if Lehan doesn't drop that INT, or if the offense simply performs and scores more than 10, then the D's performance would have been great enough to win. The team gave a great effort, and came to play despite being out of contention, with rumors swirling about the coach and owner, and the heavy downpour on a night we would all rather spend with our families.

oo btw, we didnt move 6 spots. w e had the 13th spot before this loss.

Only positive from Jets game:

That blast that Zach laid on Coles!!! NICE HIT ZACH!!!!

It's strange how McMike and Hagan made tough catches in the rain, and they usually drop easy passes on a dry day. I also loved the hit by Zach on Coles....I don't care what anyone says....Zach should be a Hall of Famer.
