And since Bellichick never tells the media anything, how are we to know he really doesn't want Miami having access to Davey? It's a ploy to get a pick for him as he will obviously be cut in a few weeks. Why trade a pick when a team can pick him off waivers. I just hope Miami doesn't waste their time!!

Media ask questions. They get a certain response. They ask another question. They get an answere. They then ask other teams who are referred to. They get an answere from them. Suddenly, you figure out why they are doing such things. It happens everyday in the world of the GM.

which makes perfect sense as to why Belechick would be paranoid about us getting him. doesn't it? I mean, we are second in line. SF wants Davey? I dont think so. Belechick knows exactly what Saban would be thinking.

I for one would be very happy to get Davey. What a huge asset! I think people are just worried for Feeley that he would get cut. That is what I think. They better hope and pray that Davey goes to Chicago.

not sure if we want a QB off waivers, we already have 4 (one of which will be dropped). the only scenario I see that happening is if we cut Feeley & Berlin and bring in someone to groom for next year...not sure if Davey is that guy though.

there are bound to be other players released that can have a more immediate impact this year - an O-line guy comes to mind first...

Kyle Orton, here we go. We have another guy who looks respectable against 6th and 7th stringers and someone is ready to have him as the starter. Sage Rosenfels has been tearing up 6th and 7th stringers in the 4th quarter of pre season games for years. Maybe the Bears should pick him up and start him??? The way fans are today anybody who looks good at any point during a preseason game is a potential starter. It's unbelievable.

I don't believe Davey knowing the Patriots playbooks and system brings us much value at all. The same thing was said when Lawyer Milloy went to Buffalo and the Bills have since been 1-3 vs the Pats. That stuff is WAAAYYYY overrated.

and yes, I know in wk 17 it was the exact reversal, NE winning 31 - 0.

I don't believe he's right in his analysis about Davey, but that remains to be seen.

No one knows how Davey will perform with having a shot at being a starter. Some of you people make it seem like that bringing Davey in will be like the worst thing to happen to this franchise. To those poeple I tell you to open up your mind for a minute or two. Davey would be 10 times better in that locker room than the cancer AJ Feeley we currently have.
