Honestly, I still think this team can win football games...but not with Chad Henne. I don't think Henne is the future, and I think our team could really put together a win streak now if we go ahead and sign........Jeff Garcia. OK now you can shoot me. Sure, we have major problems in the secondary and need to upgrade, but our run game is good enough, and I think Jeff is a gamer. He has a better arm than Pennington, makes good decisions, and knows how to win. Last year in Tampa he almost took his team to the playoffs...this year without him they look like the worst team in the league.
I don't think it's prudent to pull the plug on the season and say well we are playing for next year after three games! We still have talent on our roster, and it's not fair to the players or the fans to lose a whole year after the third game of the season after our QB goes down. I say we play to win now, and when we lose our 7th game then we play Henne. It's not gonna take an entire season to find out if he has any game in him or not. He doesnt look good period. Jeff would be the perfect candidate to run our offense. He's accurate, experienced, poised, and can actually throw the ball down the field name another QB on our roster who can actually do all 4.
You wanna forfeit the season, go ahead...I still think 9-7 isn't too far out of reach with the right QB.
