Merged: Pats Sign Joey Galloway... We need more corners

Relax, they can't put them all on the field. Anyway, Galloway is almost done and very old and injury prone. Bad signing by the Pats...

all these guys are old, the phins are getting young and good, young and good means staying power

if our pass rush turns out how i think its gonna turn out then i wouldnt worry too much but i want draft a corner with our first three picks...

I'm not that concerned about the Joey Galloway of 2008... Call me when they sign the Joey Galloway of 2006.

The Joey Galloway of 2008 is still a nice signing for a team already loaded at WR. I'd take Moss as my number 1, Galloway as a 2 and Welker in the slot any day. Galloway is better than Jabar Gaffney.

wasn't he injured most of the time last year? You can't be effective as a WR while on the bench.

The New England Patriots have signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Joey Galloway to a one-year contract, according to Steve Duemig of WDAE in Tampa.

In four starts last season, Galloway caught 13 passes for 138 yards. In 2007, he caught 57 passes for 1,014 yards and six touchdowns.

According to NFL.com, Galloway has registered 682 career receptions for 10,710 yards and 77 touchdowns in 14 NFL seasons.

Assuming Joey Galloway can get back to game speed, this could potentially cause problems for Miami's secondary twice this season combined with Welker and Moss. Key word being potentially.

To make Moss feel younger.

Seriously? If he is healthy, when the Pats go to the spread offense, how many teams have the ability to stop them? How many teams will have anything left in the 4th qtr, after being unable to get them off the field much of the time?

Screens, dink n dunk, deep routes, combined with Taylor, Faulk, (maybe maroney) out of the backfield? Sounds like fun times to me!

The Pats don't need him, they've proven they can run that offense with the players they have.

The key to this signing is whether Galloway still has the speed after pretty much a whole season out with injury.

I think he will not make it to starting day.
