MERGED: Phins worked out WR Legedu Naanee today

a west coast offense thrives on receivers that have sure hands, run good routes and most importantly are not afraid to make catches in heavy traffic. So far bess is the only one on the roster who who will rack it up in this system. We need a few guys that are bigger targets than him, naanee is just that which is a great signing. Hopefully hartline moore and wallace can show up. Also gates is super fast making cuts, hopefully this kid turns it on this year, he is also not scared to go up and get the ball, now that king marshall is gone he will hopefully thrive. The draft is loaded with great wrs. i think we are looking good at the position.
.

lol...give me your Aqua colored glasses and let me know whatever drugs you are taking.

This is a great signing for this guy's agent lol not so much for us.

Hartline isn't nearly as bad as you want to think he is....especially if you're trying to talk yourself into thinking that Naanee is a better option

He might be who's better in our roster? Lord people are such blind homers.

How is he being a blind homer by saying that Naanee wasn't brought in to be the #1 receiver?

To answer your question, Bess and Hartline are without question better than him

 Typical well thought out response which has NOTHING to do with the discussion. But I guess I shouldn't expect more from you.

The point if you think we're done with the receiver position, guess again. This was NOT a move to replace Brandon Marshall. I think most can agree this move was just for depth.

Yeah, Hartline is considerably better than Naanee. Watch him play and you won't pose that question

Ive been watching him play for years. He starts and still doesnt produce. LOL the guys numbers are similar to Nanee's, who's been buried on San Diego's and Carolina's depth charts.

Brian Hartline doesnt start on many NFL teams. The homers who swear the guy is good will be the same homers who will laugh at him when he's cut and fails elsewhere and laud our front office for cutting him loose.

I was referring to you watching Naanee play, not Hartline. I'll be more specific next time. I didn't know that this had turned into a Hartline thread.

I'm a homer because I said Hartline is a better receiver than Naanee? Haha you're reaching. Hartline isn't a starter in this league but he gets a bad rap by many on here because he's forced to on a WR needy team.

If you're expecting anything other than blocking from Naanee you're going to be seriously let down.

I'm willing to bet you that if Naanee even makes this team that Hartline will start over him. Thats not me being a Hartline homer either. I've wanted them to upgrade him for the past 2 years. Thats not me looking up stats, thats me watching football and seeing with my own eyes thats Naanee isn't that upgrade. It's the opposite

Lets do it this way then, they're both terrible.

I'm well aware of Nanee's role in San Diego. His last season there, Gates had a bad planter facia injury that forced him in and out of games, V Jackson held out most of the season, Floyd got hurt, and with all of that, Rivers STILL chose not to get him the ball, opting for in-season acquisition Patrick Crayton instead. I dont see how Hartline is really any different, Marshall has been bracketed his entire 2 year tenure here, Bess is a slot with zero speed, Fasano is a toad, and single covered Hartline still cannot find a way to be more productive? He's on the field for nearly every offensive snap for Pete's sake.

My assertion that Nanee will prob start on this team isnt a question of confidence in him, but rather an idictment of our WR "corps", and specifically our current #1 WR.

Both leave a lot to be desired if you're forced to start them. Hartline is the better route runner and smarter player but loses concentration and will drop catchable balls. Naanee is a bigger, more physical WR that is above average at blocking. he doesn't play to his timed speed and like Hartline, will drop catchable balls. Neither are someone you want in your starting line-up

Couldn't agree more.

4 TDs in 60+ games is pretty awful. It will be interesting to see what role he plays if any.

Brandon "#1 Alpha WR" Marshall in 30+ games with the Dolphins, 9 total TDs.......better but that isnt saying much
