When Santonio was whining and griping to the media, Plax was involved in some of that. The Steelers and Giants both let him go after he played a big part in their superbowl wins. There must be a reason why. It's not just the money.

Just kidding, but I see the benefit of having a redzone target. However, taking into consideration the $ he will want, the roster spot on a team riddled with unproven but potential receivers, and his track record outside of the league, I just don't see him as having enough value to sign.

The assumption is that he'd want a lot of money. Do we know that, though? I think we'd have to hear his asking price before we can decide he's not worth it.

Just saying I susbecty that if Tbow had come on the market last year instead of this year IMO there would have been a very good chance he became a Phin, Tony S would still have a job and we would have won 2-5 more games last year with Tbows ability to punch it in with the offensive scheme we were playing . I am projecting Tbow to do this very same thing for the Jets this year to offset what Sanchez inability to move the ball in the red zone for the Jets also. Tbow was one player I hoped would not end up signing with the Jets but kind of expected the Jets to pick up. Hopefully he and Sanchez don't work together well and it blows up in their face but I expect otherwise.
