Is anybody else gonna lose all the excitement for the upcoming season if we get Duante as our QB. I cannot beleive Saban is even considering this guy for our QB. This guy is not a winning Qb plain and simple, he has no tougness or leadership at all. Anybody remeber any game winning moments or drives from Culpepper? Getting him will set us back years.

Sign Brees, hurry up.

Unfortunately, I think it's gonna happen today.

Fine individual talent, just not a big fan of him at all. Just not a winner. It is likely his years of 500 rushing yards are a thing of the past, as well, considerably changing the way defenses defend his vertical game.

By the way guys, there's already a Brees vs Culpepper thread active. Voice your opinions there. These new "favoritism threads" aren't needed....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I am not saying that Culpepper will be or is the better choice but, Brees has been to one playoff game and lost at home as a big favorite, and Culpepper has won a playoff game @ GB and lost one @ Philly i his last attempt, and split 4 other attempts only losing on the road how does that make Brees a winning QB and Duante not?

Anyone remember any game winning moments or drives by Brees?

what's up PC:dolphins:

Why is everyone so down on DC,as if everything DC did in Minnesota will be Duplicate in Miami .I give Nick and his staff a little more credit when it comes to developing players . Y.Bell,Carey,Hadnot, ever Sage ended up with a 7 million dollar contract

Yes DC is 28 year old but the talent is there, the arms is solid .
now I like Drew but not better then DC.

I remeber Brees lighting up teh Colts when they were undeafted.

I don't recall any for Bree's either

But then again how many of us on the east coast get to see Charger games? Or Viking games for that matter?

He's lost two conference title games. Perhaps you forget his 78-yard passing performance with 5 turnovers in a 41-0 loss to the Giants in the NFC title game of 2000?

There are cheaper alternatives out there who have two healthy knees and can contribute right away. I'll root for the Dolphins with equal fervor, I'm just not a Culpepper fan.

Brees lit up the Colts 22/33 for 255 1TD 1 INT against a team that did not need the game and the Chargers were had to win out. Brees played well but lit up? SD rushing 37/206 5.6 a carry that lit up the Colts in my opinion. Not saying I would not like Brees just think that either one is a huge upgrade and I like the fact that DC can make all the throws. Brees didn't make all the throws before the shoulder. I know the weather is nice in SoFL but it does get windy and rainy at times you need that arm...

The Vikings defense didn't show up in that game either. He was bad that day, but they wouldn't have won that game regardless. The defense made Kerry Collins look like the best QB ever that day.

I'll be happy with whichever we end up with. Saban will make the right choice and we can either accept it and go with it or sit here and b!t#h and moan about it.

I would take Culpepper in a heartbeat. I am sure the people that don't want Culpepper would rather have McCown or Ramsey. Thats a joke. Those guys wouldn't be an upgrade like Culpepper would.
