Merged: Please tell me that we'll sign Tim Couch...

I'll say it again here like I did in another thread....

Bottom line is that if Saban and Mueller think Couch is worth bringing in than there must be some potential that they still see in him.

If you think you can make better decisions then them so be it. Enjoy your own little world.

Were not dealing with Wanny anymore and I'm excited about the moves Saban and Mueller have made. If Couch is next then I believe that they see something that is well worth giving the guy a lousy 3rd string QB spot for a year.

i agree 100% even if it is jeff george or even terry bradshaw it dont matter as long as they can throw with accu and has a strong arm:shakeno: im not saying someone that we can keep 5 6 7 years just 4 this year than we can get us a qb next year

I hope we do sign Couch...I know he hasnt proved anything but he must have some talent to be taken #1 overall...and remember he was on the Browns:D

It definitely wouldn't hurt to sign Couch. Our QB situation is definitely cause for concern. Although I wouldn't expect too much from Couch. If we do, hopefully he pulls a Tommy Maddox.

I am for bringing in Couch understanding fully that he would be in extreme catch up mode.

I know Couch has a rep. right now as a loser but look at those D-linemen from Cleveland that all went to Denver and are having much success perhaps Cleveland under Davis was simply an enviroment for failure.

Lastly Couch had a shoulder injury that severly took his arm strength away, he has had surgery to correct the injury so I feel like at this point Miami has nothing to lose by bringing him in and finding out what he can do fully healty.

Watch Couch end up being the Franchise QB for us we have been looking for since Marino left. How funny would that be.

This is why I want to take a look at this guy. He was a number 1 pick and over guys like Mcnabb and Culpepper.. BRING HIM IN!!!

"I really hope Hillary Clinton will go out with me, because I'm really starting to miss my ex, Brooke Burke"

Yankee, that is funny as heck!

Again, if we sign Couch he won't be in consideration for the starting spot this year.

He's just recovered from an injury, hasn't played in the NFL in over a year and knows squat about our offense.

Bringing in Couch is clearly a move for next year and he'd only be used in an absolute emergency.

only in an absolute emergency, 5 fumbles in the first half and neither qb has done anything that even comes close to good and this isnt an emergency

if u look a couchs numbers before last year he wasnt far behind mcnabb and that is big considering mcnabb has all kinds of targets in philly.
who did the browns have when couch was throwing the ball. i can name one good reciever and he wasnt great, Kevin Johnson
at least in miami he has some talent to throw to(excluding the Pitts. game)

At least Couch would break the streak of QBs that start with the letter "F"

You're probably stuck w/the Qb's you have this year. If AJ or Gus doesn't significantly progress during the season I wouldn't be surprised if next year Miami makes a run for Volek or Gerrard.

Gerrard would be my pick, he's a better QB than Leftwich IMO...IMO...have yet to see him have a poor game, he's a natural...Doubt if they'd let him go tho, as Leftwich maybe the injury type like Fred Taylor.

Couch was never good. He was cut as a backup. He hasn't played in a year. Not saying he couldn't beat out Gus, but do you really want this guy on the team?
