Hey, tough day...once again our beloved Dolphins have let us down, but we shouldnt be too down, there are a number of things to be happy about.

-Frerotte: Ive been off the bus for a while, but noone can deny the guy threw the ball well today. Too many bad play calls and dropped balls by supposedly 'elite' recievers hampered his play, but noone can blame this loss on him (That last ball was catchable).

-Ronnie: Another week wondering "So why didn't we give Ronnie the ball more often?". The coaching staff apparently don't think so,, but Ronnie is a great back, hes quick, fast, and has great hands. I would much rather see Ronnie fumble the game away on a hard run then the bad play calling of today's final drive.

Front seven on defense: Solid, we are great on the run, great on 1st and 2nd down..I just wish these guys had a decent secondary to look back to.

PENALTIES: Have greatly diminished, there was still some foolish stuff goin on...but we have been much better in this phase of the game.

This hurts, but be strong

Who's going to have trouble sleeping tonight. I am this loss hurts more than any loss since we lost to Pats, when ricky ran for 200 yds back in early 2000 when we lost last game of season. What is it about the Pats. Three of my worst losses ever were to them. 1985, 2003 and this year. But fellow fins fans we must be strong. Could we question the playcalling yeah. could we question chris chambers yeah. Could we blame the secondary yeah. But this team is on the way up and that's all you can ask for. This team last year was the worst in football(sf maybe). We should of known from the beginning what we were in for. This team went out today and played there butt off. Did they make mistakes sure. Are there holes sure. But this is when we need to display our loyality. We cant be fickle fans. Questioning linehan should he ran the ball more maybe. But nobody is saying that if chambers makes that last catch. It was linehan's playcalling that got is so close in this game. This maybe the best I've seen the dolphins through the ball all year. This passing gave me a blast back to the Marino days. This offense was rolling. Defensivilly yes there are problems in the secondary . And they will be addressed in the offseason. Remember every team goes through a rebuilding phase. We went so long without ever having to totally rebuild. Now our faith as phin fans is tested.

My first post just registred today be patient, Love my Dolphins

We've shown enough, it's time they show us some results...

I just watched Saban's PC and loved the tone. He basically said that the guys deserved to win based on the effort they displayed. He said it would be easy to say that he's disappointed with the effort, but he really wasn't. He's upset they didn't get the results they wanted, but that the guys played hard.

If you look at this game from a distance I think there are some real positives. Looking from the short-term perspective makes you want to pull your hair out. We outplayed the Pats today, but they came away with the win. That said, we are displaying some of the things that good football teams do. We are playing better defense, we can run the ball, we are very physical, and there are plays that are there to be had every week.

Run defense was horrible. When you give up nearly 100 yards to HEATH EVANS, something's pretty wrong.

I totally agree, real fans endure during these rough spots, its just a lot easier to do when your coaching and play calling dont put down your chances to win. Im all about linehan taking risks and giving Frerotte a chance to drive when hes got the hot hand, but today was ridiculous, you dont call the same play in a row with the sun in your eyes to try and tie the game. Not with Ronnie and Ricky in your back field.

The sun is always brightest...before the storm.

No its not, the Sun is usually nowhere to be seen right before the storm, its only after the storm passes that the Sun shines the brightest and the longest.

The remainder of this season, the upcoming offseason, will show how strong the Sun will soon shine in Miami.

Saban is making haste, at his pace, and its working. Each game is a measuring stick for finding his players and the players that will be around for the longhaul of this franchise's coming seasons under Saban.

The big picture is that Saban definitely has the Fins pointed in the right direction. No doubt about it.

Guess you never been thru a sun shower? :D

Whats working? The Dolphins have found more ways to lose this season...than last. We beat the Pats...with no running game....a first time headcoach....wish he was still with us....and many players out due to injury.
All I hear is it's going to get better....well I heard that from Jimmy and Wanny....we'll get that fixed. When it gets better....shine that light on all of us...untill then....it's gloomy.

Be realistic...

First off I'm as disappointed as anyone but besides the dropped balls, horrible play calling, horrible refs, missed chip shot field goal, etc. we were playing a team with more then half there starters out. We are just not that good. And we have the oldest defense in the league.
The good news is we have a stud RB for the future, a high draft pick in 2006 hopefully to be used on a franchise QB.
Enjoy the rest of the season and next year looks bright...

Haha! Well said. Realisticly we are doing fairly well imo when you consider how bad we were last year. Its just tough to lose games against the defending SB champ when the game is right there. In the grand scope of things I think we are on the right track and the sun will rise. Maby not this year but it will come.

Yeah, its gloomy, but the positive signs under Saban were not here under Jimmy and Wanny. The situation is very different. The only similarity is that Fans may have had similar hopes and dreams then as they do now.

But now, Saban has a plan, is sticking to it, he is using Gus to benchmark all the other offensive players. He will make the necessary changes.

The one sad thing I see, is that many of the same players that Jimmy and Wanny had, are also contributing to the issues in the win/loss column that Saban has thru 9 games. So at some point the "beloved" dolphin players may be moving on since Saban will ask for the best, the consistency, that Jimmy didnt care about, and Wanny couldnt find with a flashlight in the storm.

Saban knows what he expects, expects what he needs, and will find the playes to give him what he wants. Those changes are necessary but they will sting alittle from a "beloved" standpoint only.
