no i dont...lol
texasPHINSfan said:i don't think we should give him any damn nicknames. he hasn't earned it yet. i am actually glad you started this thread (i wanted to, but didn't).
anyway, here's whats going to happen. the collective "braintrust" on here will come up with a homosexual nickname of some sort (i like "the tiger" myself, lol), and everyone on here will be calling him that.
THEN, when plays for us and starts scoring (or whatever), the announcer will GIVE him his own name. Then everyone will make a slow transgression to the name the announcer gives him because it will invariably be cooler than "downtown" julie... err, ronnie brown, or UPS, or "what can brown do for you". H2 makes no sense considering his alleged nickname was "Hummer" (hummer and H2 are two different names - one is a make, the other a model FYI). Honestly, even hummer is ridiculous. it served a purpose when he was sharing carries with Cadillac, but he isn't anymore.
Let him play, and as my dear friend Jimmy James put it best, lets just call him "Ronnie Brown."
rarrrr!! ::aw:::
texasPHINSfan said:hey we never gave Vernon Carey a nickname.... why not? he was a first round pick!
i nominate "The Donut!" anyone want to start a poll?![]()
texasPHINSfan said:the only problem with the "hummer" nickname is that hummers are the biggest and slowest things on the road.
Brown is not the biggest or slowest guy on the team. so how does that equate to a good nickname? that last nickname he had was suited to his situation at Auburn. Giving him that nickname here would just be like calling him "the tiger" rarrrrr!
Jimmy James said:If we're going with the Tiger theme, a better nickname than "THE Tiger" IMHO would be "El Tigre". Unfortunately, I think I remember from 9th grade that Tiger is feminine in Spanish, meaning it would properly be la tigra.
texasPHINSfan said:yeah i don't get it either. does he use horsey sauce or something?
no no no!Jimmy James said:If we're going with the Tiger theme, a better nickname than "THE Tiger" IMHO would be "El Tigre". Unfortunately, I think I remember from 9th grade that Tiger is feminine in Spanish, meaning it would properly be la tigra.

Jimmy James said:Yeah, that's the problem. At to "la tigra", Derrick uses it mostly for catalog work.
"Listen to your friend Billy Zane. He's a cool dude."
