I dont expect Goodell to do anything. From the way it seems, he is nailing those repeat offenders that are too stupid to realise they keep making the same mistake over and over again. I have been wrong before tho.....actually...many times before but that is a different story all together...:err:

Hope you didn't skip over this....

Porter still could be either fined or suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who has instituted a stricter code of conduct policy for players.

Sure, it's a misdemeanor, but when you've got a Commissioner walking around with a magnifying glass... you don't want to be an ant on top of the NFL mound.

There should be no premature exhauling yet. This isn't over.

Yeah, hopefully Goodell doesn't suspend him as he is not a repeat offender like the others who are getting suspended.

BTW csabe, I did a photoshop Dolphins version of your avatar on my website. Feel free to use it if you like. It's on the main page.

Good the slate is clean, now no distractions and he can focus on dominating on the field.

Hope you didn't skip over this....

I would hope more of a fine than anything but when there is a commisioner trying to clean up the NFL from all the crap...I wouldn't put anything past him. He seems dedicated on cleaning up the league no matter what so lets keep our fingers crossed. I would hope there is no suspension.

I couldn't agree more. I have a bad feeling Porter may miss some games. I could be wrong and hopefully I am but I don't think Goodell will let this go unpunished.

Maybe Goodell will attack his wallet instead of suspending him for any games since all he did was punch a fat guy....

Joey Porter Pleads Guilty

Porter pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor battery charge. Here's the Sun-Sentinel link.

Here's another link that talks about the possible penalty.

Joey Porter's attorny today entered a plea of no contest in regards to the misdemeanor battery charge stemming from the fight in a Las Vegas with Levi Jones. Porter faces a maximum penalty of 6 months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. It's highly unlikely Porter faces any jail time in this instance since this is his first conviction and it's only a misdemeanor. However, Porter could face action from the NFL. But it's unlikely he'd be suspended. More likely is a fine from the league since it's his first conduct-related issue.

he'll prolly get suspended for the Redskins season opener...good thing we kept Donnie Spragan
