PORTER DISSES CASSEL

Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter has been quiet lately. (Then again, a 1-15 record in 2007 and a V.P. of football operations who’s happy to break his foot off in your *** tends to pipe a guy down.)
But Porter is talking, as the Dolphins plan to play the Patriots. Specifically, Porter is talking about New England quarterback Matt Cassel.
“I just know he’s not a Tom Brady,” Porter said, according to Tim Graham of ESPN.com. “So if it’s not Tom Brady, it shouldn’t be that hard.” [Editor’s note: That’s what she said.]
So how hard won’t it be? Not hard enough to deliver the first win of the season for the Fins, per Porter.
“It’ll be good to go out there and get our first victory,” Porter said.
And what should Cassel expect from Porter and his teammates?
“You treat him like you treat a backup,” Porter said. “How do you prepare for a backup? He don’t get that many snaps, right? So you throw the kitchen sink at him. That’s what we’re going to do.”
Porter also isn’t impressed that Cassel is 1-0 as a starter.
“He’s only had one start in the NFL. Take that for what it’s worth. He won it, but if you compare him to Brady, there’s no comparison.”
But, Joey, here’s the deal. Cassel and the Patriots beat the team in Week Two that beat your team in Week One. So maybe, even without Brady, the Pats are still pretty good.
Or maybe the Dolphins are still pretty bad.

Same ol' Joey Porter. To bad his body cant keep up with his mouth.
 
to be honest, and I dont know what game everyone else is watching but Porter has been backing it up...I mean people expect him to be a factor on every down doesnt he have a few tackles already and like one or two sacks? its game 2 homies...
 
There goes everyone's favorite $20 million idiot again.....

for his mouth and the amount of money he's making, you'd think he's out there playing like Lawerence Taylor.

Nobody heard of Brady, either, but after he put enough "W"s on the board they learned his name real fast. Nice going, Porter.

Nobody needs this kind of "leadership." Confidence, sure, encourage the young guys on the team. Lead by example at practice, in meetings, and during the game. But bulletin board material for a team that already has a chip on their shoulder after losing their star QB for the year? JP might possibly be the dumbest guy in a Dolphin uniform... in years.

Remember what Belichick did to that loud mouthed safety on the Steelers? Made him look like a fool. Would have piled on the points, too, if the Steelers weren't too strong to let them. We're not. Our team is going to look like the victims of Pompeii after this. Thanks, Joey.
 
Stick another 3rd string linebacker out on Wes Welker like we did against Arizona and Anquan Boldin and see how difficult to beat they are....
 
I would expect every Dolphin player to believe they can win the game, but thoughts related to doing so do not have to be expressed in public. Until the Dolphins start kicking some @$$ the trash talk should stay in the trash.

Hey man, this is football not water polo... Its a violent sport...I dont see anything wrong tryna get your confidence up and getting a little hype about this big game... It surely isnt hurting or helping us....right now we dont have any but porter to rev this team up...stop trying to change the mans personality thats how he is...I feel bad for him actually....Because hes been talkin thrash for so long now and only has one win to show for it.. it hurts me and i know it kills him inside... but dont get it twisted, hes a little less vocal than he was last year... last year he was guaranteeing wins and talking alot more thrash.. then again its game too.. I jus need to see a win and im super pissed.. Im not buying a ticket to the game till I see a win because I dont feel like going to see for the first time a NFL game in person and see the fins lose..
