Sad news shouldn`t of happend just hope it doesnt happen to any more people thats 2 player deaths in the past 5 years Vikings lineman Corey Stringer passed away from a heatstroke in 2000.Prayers to Thomas Herrion`s family.RIP

My God...what a horrible tragedy. I was hoping and praying the rumors weren't true. I hope the 49ers put his jersey # on their helmets. That would be a small enough token for a guy who was giving it his all to make a football team and made the ultimate sacrifice.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

The Ute community is in shock and mourning tonight Thomas was and remains one of the most popular Ute players in recent history. One thing I have learned from this site is that Dolphin fans, while being very knowledgable and passionate, are respectful and classy. This is really sad. Dying at any age is sad but, to die at 23 with his whole life ahead of him. My prayers go out to his family and the 49ers!!

yeah it was the age that really struck me....he was 23....when Jeno was sick my heart was in my throat because I remembered what happened to Cory Stringer...and this happens...he was still a kid

The first one occured after Mike Nolan spoke to the team after the game. They revived him and he was talking. Then he had another one from which he didn't recover.
