I haven't been on here for awhile but I was just wondering about a poll that we had on the site where it asked how many games did you think the Dolphins would win in 2008.

I voted for 9, but I am pretty sure the results were that most of us voted for around 4, does anybody have the final results of that poll???
 
I said to everyone i knew i predicted a 9-7...i think now they will either go that or 10-6
 
Digging up old predictions, how accurate were you thus far?

I recently was looking at an old post of mine prior to the start of the season:

in that thread (on 8/26/08) I said the following...

"this is heavy on the "luck" part but...

I see it could go like this

Phins 10-6 (If God shines his light on us, and Pennington makes it all 16)
Pats 10-6 (if Brady gets hurt early in the season to aide in their difficulties)
Jets 9-7 (If Brett throws some key INTS, or if they lose any key players)
Bills 6-10 (this won't take anything special to happen)"

...well just call me Nostradamus thus far :lol:.
As of this moment (12/11/08)

the Phins, Jets, and Pats are all at 8-5 and the Bills are at 6-7. Brady actually did go down early in the season, way earlier than I thought he would though. Brett will throw those crucial picks but it will be in week 17, Pennington is gonna make it all 16, and the Bills still suck just as bad as I thought they would back in August.

So far so good, only I'd like to add another W to the Phins column.

Has anyone else looked through that thread to see how accurate (or inaccurate) your predictions were?

post #55 check me out. I don't even remember posting that lmao. Thanks for linking that thread, some good comedy in that one. I gave Buff too much credit and the Jets not enough but the Fins i was pretty accurate.

edit btw why 1 star this isn't a bad thread..

Yes I looked at some of my threads and I jumped all over someone for being a moron and predicting we would win more than 5 games. How obsurd to think that a 1-15 team could win more than 5 games. Oh well can't get em all right. I did predict the year before that we would win less than 5 games and everyone said I was crazy, so one out of two years isn't too bad. In my defense my post was before we signed Penny.
 
I predicted 6 wins ... I'm happy to have under-estimated the new regime's first season success. :)
 
Did anyone see that KRO-25 guy? Here's one of his posts:

"welcome to finheaven where Brett Favre and Chad Pennington are equals as QB's and the fins are going to leap frog the Jets and Bills in the standings even though they are both clearly better."

Not only is he an orifice...he's an oracle. Actually, Pennington is playing BETTER than Favre. Stupid Jet fans. Never cease to amaze. :lol:
 
I predicted 5-11 with a best case scenario of 7-9. We have already outperformed my expectations.
 
Thought our record would be 7-9 or 8-8 based on the easy schedule we had. Now anything less than 11-5 would be disappointing to me.
