MERGED: Press Conf to be held at 4pm

I thought that question was in very poor taste, very poor and his answer got me choked up...I feel for him and his loss.

He's talking with the Finsiders guys now.

Definitely in poor taste to ask him about that. He's coming here to coach the football team, and you are going to ask him about the recent death of his child? What the ****?

I took it the other way. It was a question I think a lot of us wanted answered, just because I think we are all concerned for him and his family.

I don't know, when Tony Dungy's son died I didn't think it was appropriate for sports reporters to hound him about that, either. I really don't think it's relevant to the football team.

The live feed sucked and the reporters asked stupid questions.

I love the coach though. Great answers. He fired me up.

The way the question was worded was quite ok in my opinion. much more appropriate than discussing someone's mom being a prostitute in an interview. Some people act like someone asked him how it felt to be the father of a rapist. Now thats inappropriate

The reason it is relevant IMO, is because this is a new job for him. I have no doubt he will give 100% to the job, but it's not a leap in logic to think after what he's gone through, his heart may not be into coaching any more. Jimmy Johnson had the same thing happen to him when his Momma died. They dragged him back in after that year, and his heart wasn't in it any more.

I think it's more likely at this point that he welcomes the distraction.
