I kill this guy every chance I get because he's just not my kind of football player. But last night Joey Porter came to wreak havoc in Charlotte. Last night also proves what I've been saying all along about Mr. Porter and that's shut up and play.

It's amazing what a week on the bench did for that guy. It humbled him. Instead of spending all week running his mouth, he spent all week focusing on football and producing between the sidelines instead of producing sound bites in the locker room for reporters looking to spin a story. Coach Sparano did the right thing by benching Porter and making him understand that it's all about production.

And produce he did. So props to you Joey Porter. Keep up the play you had last night and cut back on the mouth and I won't bang on you too hard.

yeah much props, though he is not quite off the hook yet..

It seemed like he was involved in every single play yesterday. Glad to see him playing good football at least last night. I couldn't believe how this board was so quick to crucify the guy, I guess that's what Football has become now. Here's to hoping he continues to play at that level, and injury free.

I'm always hoping he plays well. I'll never wish a bad game on any player from this team no matter how much I dislike the player or his style. I want to cheer for Joey Porter on gameday but I also want him to focus on football and keep quiet. He played very well last night and I'll be the very first to commend his efforts and I'll be the first to bang on him when he runs his mouth and doesn't show up to play.

I was torn last night too because Jon Beason was a one man defense last night and even though I was SICK of hearing his name on seemingly EVERY play I had to cheer for my boy. I was impressed with how much bigger he has gotten since leaving Miami. I was hoping to run into him after the game but I couldn't make it happen. I was glad to see him play well though. Him and Damione Lewis.

Wasn't their starting left tackle...Jordan Gross...out this week? Who was it that took his place?

Porter looked good for one game...one...will he keep it up against better competition?

Jordan Gross was out. And that's one thing that pissed me off was that he was out and they were STILL forcing the ball down our throats at will the power sweep they ran to the left side of our defensive line murdered us all night long. They were pulling guards from the right side off to the left side of the line and just handing us our ***.

porter got 2 sacks but it would have been better if he was CONSTANTLY pressuring the QB, even if he only got 1 sack. Perfect example, Cameron Wake.

J. Peezy Props

With all the media and fans talking negatively recently about Peezy i thought he played very well. I think he showed some of his critics why he is who he is and why he's paid what he is. I never was upset with him for his mouth or what ever happened with the FO. I love the fact he plays with passion and comes to work with a nasty/dirty mentality...i'll take his loud mouth tactics with his production any day of the week. Every player has slumps or bad games, but he's been more productive over his career than most.

GOOD GAME PEEZY!!!

I think the main thing with him is he needs to bring it day in and day out rather than once every 5 games or so. Its a 16 game season and playing good in 3 isn't going to cut it. But I agree props to him for having a really good game for us eysterday especially his 2 sacks on 3 rd downs especially the first one.

yep good game

but when you talk that much you have to play that well so he better keep it up so he can have some trade value at the end of the season

Yeah probably the best game of any of our defenders and maybe the entire team.. Still, i'd like to see him string together another game or 2 like this before i think he is still the joey we know and love.

I want to see it continue against starting tackles...not just their back-ups...
