This is getting really ugly. Total disconnect between the Dolphins, and the fans that love this franchise.

I know this page on Facebook is trying to rally Phins fans, SavethePhins.com is the FB page, check out this open letter. Seems to me that most people think ROSS is the biggest issue. We dont know how much Ireland has to filter from Ross' demands... Hope you all take a second and check this out

The irony here is that most of you waste your time spamming this forum with whiny threads about Ireland and Ross. What's the difference?

Well for one, people posting here are in the privacy of their home. The protests are public. Protests are usually annoying with megaphones forcing people who arent concerned with the issue to deal with it. Here everyone isadolphins fan and can easily ignore any poster. I'm not totally against protests justmost of the time.

Reggie Bush, Mike Pouncey, Vontae Davis, Cameron Wake, Davone Bess, Paul Soliai (pro bowl), Randy Starks and Jared Odrick (who also does a mean pee wee herman dance)....We have talent people. Matt Moore is a good player. We were a feared team at the end of the season. He will have a full offseason to work and we will be a tough team. Cant believe only a handful of people here see that....

What exactly will they be protesting? Jim Harbaugh choosing to stay at home in Cali. I agree they went about it the wrong way, but at least the front office realized they needed a better coach and went after a guy that ended up taking his team to the NFCC game. Maybe people are upset that they didn't give a retread coach (Fisher) final say and 8 million a year.

Maybe they are protesting that we traded away a guy who has issues and is currently accused of punching a women in the face?

People can complain about the last 10 years, but Ireland's had 4 seasons and only 1 with final say. In that time they brough in players like: Reggie Bush, Mike Pouncey, Vontae Davis, Cameron Wake, Davone Bess, Paul Soliai, Randy Starks and Jared Odrick.

They were looking for a new coach after 3 seasons with Sparono (1 winning and 2 losing) and finally hired a brand new coaching staff for 2012.

Maybe they will protest about the QB situation. They had a QB with Pennington that would have been solid had he not gotten injured. Henne looked promising after filling in for Pennington in 09, so what upgrade was available that they didn't explore after the 09 season that fans are so upset about? Were they supposed to trade up to draft Tebow in the 1st round or draft Clausen at #40 in the second? How about 2010? Maybe they wanted Dalton at #15 or maybe people are upset that they didn't trade for Orton and didn't pay him the 9 million a year he was looking for. Do you really think Orton would have done much better than Moore did? Maybe you guys wanted to pay Kolb what AZ did? How about this year? They went after Manning, and he chose Denver. You can blame the front office, but who knows his real reasoning? He didn't choose NYJ, SEA, SF, Tenn, KC, or AZ either. The only real option so far that they turned down this year was Flynn. Go ahead and protest that we didn't give a backup QB that has 2 NFL starts a 3 year $26 million contract. I trust Philbin's opinion on what he is worth over anyone else.

It's a new coaching staff and a new year. We need a QB, but apparently Philbin doesn't think Flynn is the answer. That good enough for me. You might not like another year with Moore, but I would rather that and continue to look for the right guy than overpay for a guy that could turn out to be the next Rob Johnson, Matt Cassel, or Kevin Kolb.

Let's say you spend 3 hours reading/posting on here and someone else spends 3 hours protesting...how is one more of a waste of time than the other?

Sitting at a computer and expressing yourself about a sports franchise is far different than getting off your butt to go moan and bitch about that same franchise. Why don't ppl save protesting for something of consequence?

So many things get cheapened in today's society. Just like ppl throwing around the word racist. Certain things should carry some weight, and when ppl over use or over do certain things it loses it's value.

Protesting a sports franchise over who is running that franchise, is worse than ppl screaming for Orton last year. It's just plain ignorant.
