MERGED: Protest tomorrow in Davie.....

Kind of a HUGE leap, once again with some of you. People who see a protest movement over a owners choice in his GM as a stupid idea, aren't ppl who don't also want a quality prodcut.

The Dolphins issue with our GM is far from an appropriate course of action for a protest. It's immature, because IMO calling for a protest is a serious thing, not something to be used on an entertainment product.

As far as the rest of your post, obviously if he was to ever move the team, there would be a new fan base in place...

I think the protest is immature and useless to be honest with you. I understand the frustration some feel though, but i don't think a protest of an NFL team for their personel decisions on a tuesday is really that vital. Just continue to stop buying tickets and eventually Ross will have to do something. Personally i'm frustrated because it's the same thing with this team every year, we need a franchise qb, but once the offseason comes around we do the same song and dance like we forgot about the past 10 offseasons. Honestly i don't see how this offseason is going to be any different at this point because i don't think there's anyone who is franchise qb material available at this point. All signs point to another 6-10 season with a cloud of dust.

The Browns have never Sniffed a SB thats why. They are diehard fans and thats why they got another team in Cleveland.

With Ross' money it shouldnt be a problem to give it a Facelift.
Never a Super Bowl, but they were NFL Champions a few times before the leagues merged. They have a history that dates back way before the Dolphins were even created. They are diehard fans, and that is why the indeed got another team. Dolphins fans are not diehard, it is sad to say but they are not.

If Ross is losing money, which he is, why spend money on a stadium face lift that won't return a profit. Especially when he can spend that same money on a brand new state of the art stadium in a city that will give him a HUGE initial profit?

I don't think the Dolphins will ever move, and hope they don't, but the path things are on right now, it truly can't be ruled out.

What makes them safe? The stadium has been deemed by the NFL unacceptable when it comes to hosting a Super Bowl. If Ross wants his stadium to host the big game in the future he is going to have to spend a lot of money on renovations. If the team isn't winning and the fans don't show up, what incentive does he have to stay? Especially when there is a shiny piece of land in Los Angeles whispering into his ear to build a stadium. Ross likes stars and what better place to get stars than in Los Angeles? Plus, with a "new" team in town the stadium will be full regardless of the initial product on the field.

Don't think it can't happen. Who would have thought the Browns would leave Cleveland?

Also heres a very good article on this subject.

Thats not out of the realm of possibilities. This also could be a Blessing.Dolphins get a NEW OWNER,Players,GM snd heck maybe a new Stadium. No 1 will ever know til they stand up and express how they feel about anything.

Is there anyone more blind than Ireland's defenders? I love how these guys bring up Manning and Flynn. Where the **** have you been? Ireland has been an absolute joke for 5 years. This idiot caused us to lose Harbaugh who wanted nothing to do with him, and you can bet your ass a guy like Peyton wanted nothing to do with this dysfunction either.

so you would rather sit bk and take what we have been for the last 10 + years of mediocure than to express our true feeling and being afraid they will move the team ,come on nubs your better than this.

Mark my words they will never MOVE Miami.Unless Florida falls into the ocean!!

Agreed it would be very difficult, and the current owner would have to prove the outside cities offer is that much more significant to the other NFL owners. But Ross is a powerful man, and if the Miami fan base continues to act the fool, owning this franchise may be a bigger pain than it's worth for him. There would have to be a ton of bad willing, even beyond what both sides have built up already for that to take place, but things are so ugly on both sides right now, it wouldn't shock me at all.

This deserves Thanks x4

It all depends how many ppl turn out. If 100 ppl show up, no biggie. TWO thousand ppl show up, I can see it blowing up.

I am beyond frustrated, I agree with most of the non-personal insults ppl here throw at Ireland and Ross, but I don't see any positives for me to go there. The Dolphins are my hobby, and I want to enjoy them as much as possible. I don't want to get to a point where some of these fans.

However if Tebow comes here, I may freaking join em. lol

I would rather not make a fool of myself on national television. If a protest outside was going to solve our problems, then go ahead and do it. Fact is, it won't do a darn thing. Ross isn't going to fire Ireland tomorrow. Did the "We want Orton" chants work? Was Orton the quarterback? No, all it did was make national headlines and made the fan base look like disrespectful idiots.

We deserve better than what is going on right now with the team. We deserve answers as to why things are going so badly. Though acting like a fool at a "protest" just drags the fan base down also. NFLN and ESPN is already laughing at the front office and team. Do you want the fans to get laughed at also?

The NFL and the league owners would never agree to move the Dolphins. Don't worry, they are safe.
Legally the NFL might not be able to prevent a move (they couldn't stop the Raiders, Browns and Colts moves)...but the league would put another team here almost immediately.

The problem is that isn't reality. The Tuna was running things for quite some time. Some ppl like to ignore that reality.

They've been saying that for LA for how many years?

Dont give him the Tuna out, Both Tuna and Ireland both deserve all the blame equally.
