MERGED: Raiders trade to #23 / Rodgers

It's more than likely over for us who wanted Rodgers. Oakland took the #23 overall and he's likely to go to Green Bay now. This makes me upset. We had a shot to come away with the best draft in years by getting Brown and Rodgers and it was gone without the Fins even knowing it...or even caring i have to say im a little dissapointed.

Wrong!! Though now the Packers will take him. If not, they are idiots!!

Shows how stupid Oak can be. Washington wasn't going to take a 2nd CB and GB took two last year, and probably wouldn't either. Why give up a pick to jump those two teams?

Dumb move by Oakland IMO. Seattle made out with that trade.

so do you think the next 2 picks will be qb's?
IMO, it makes sense for GB to take Rodgers and the rumours have been that Washington wants Campbell with the 25th pick.

Draft is long from being over. Not to mention the fact a draft cant be evaluated for two more years,

I have no idea. It was obvious that Washington wanted a QB and Green Bay was going QB or Defensive Line. Even if for some reason he was picked up, do they really consider Fabian Washington that much better than Marlin Jackson?

Obviously.....i would have liked Rodgers here though.

I wonder if we could of packaged Ricky Williams and a 3rd rounder for that pick to get Rodgers

Only thing I can think of is if Seattle bluffed Oakland into thinking another team wanted their pick to take Washington. If so, good move by Seattle. Good move either way. I look for Seattle to take a D-lineman or maybe Khalif Barnes to play RT.
