Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Rams have signed restricted free-agent P Donnie Jones (Dolphins) to an offer sheet. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. If the Dolphins do not match, the Rams will give up a seventh-round pick.

It gets more and more interesting everyday. I would take the 7th, Im sure there are plenty of punters out there or we could match. This could happen with Bell and Cleo as well.....
 
Interesting, another 7th round pick does not really cause me goosebumps.

It will be interesting to follow this.
 
It doesn't have the terms of the contract, but given the choice, I'd rather have a proven punter than an unknown 7th round pick.
 
Very good news. It likely is not an expensive offer sheet, so we will likely match it, and get Jones signed to a long term deal.
 
Linehan is trying to take in a lot of former Dolphins in. I hope we match the offer. Jones is a solid young punter with a strong leg.
 
we could always sign Matt Turk if they decide not to match it. Turk is still out there and no team has signed him.
 
I would keep the Player, after all how man holes can one team fill in one year?
 
Would it bother you if a team like the Browns, Detroit or maybe Qakland signed Cleo to an offer sheet.

A 2nd for Cleo....I would take it in a heartbeat. I know we need depth at QB but a 2nd.....oh yeah....
