MERGED: Reggie Roby DEAD at Age 43

RIP Reggie and our prayers go out to his family. Roby will go down in the books as the best punter the Dolphins ever had.

It was a treat to watch Reggie punt. Usually when watching punts at a game all of the your focus is upon the return. With Reggie you just watched in awe as he booted the ball higher than the stadium. Often, the crowd would gasp in astonishment.

when i was younger, me and my friends would always throw the football around and pretend we were dan and the marks brothers but there would always be a moment when one of us would be reggie and punt the ball as hard as we could - it was never "cool" pretending to be a punter, but it was when you were pretending to be him

Sad news, Reggie was a fine punter, one of the best of his era. I know he spent most of career with the Phins but he had a couple of fine years in DC.

My thoughts go out to his family, terribly young age to die.
