Merged: Ricky & Ronnie On Field Together News/Saban may start both?

Uhhh.....excuse me if I've been living under a rock or something, but hasn't this kinda been the plan? I have never thought it would be any other way....I doubt if we choose Ricky as the starter, Brown plays 2 carries a game.....I always thught we were doing this *shrugs*

Who ever mentioned this? This was never mentioned. We were not only having a QB controversy but a RB one too. Why do you think we signed Heath evans?

There have been been people on the board that mentioned it but the reality was that we were probably going to use them like Duce and the Bus in Pitt. Run with one and then bring in a fresh back when the defense is tiring. We only hope this would happen and now we see that it may indeed happen. There are so many possibilities with both in the back field at the same time. If you are on defense.......what are you gonna do???? There will always be the possibility of getting burned one way or the other. The only question marks are will the defense be able to hold their own and will this Oline gel enough to provide enough protection? So far the line has looked okay to terrible. Only hope for the best and hope that maybe just maybe we can at least clinch a wildcard but at this point I think that is wishful thinking.

Brown at FB and Williams at RB would be great then we could run either one of them on any given play

I was just about to say that. With both very versatile and powerful runnners... if its executed well it will be a nightmare of D coordinators. i bet lienhan is just licking his chops...

Ronnie the FB. We've heard this before havent we?

Mass protection and 2 possible dump offs. Cant wait to see the screen passes, fake right throw left. Off to the races.

ronnie & ricky

this is going to be good. saban is smart by doing this, but we don't want to give anything away. Are we ready to see the run and gun? Iam telling you this is going to be the new fad in the NFL. There are to many good things that can come out of this for saban not to do it. We all know ronnie can handle it, he did at Auburn with williams, the question is can ricky?
fins 24 bucs 14

Give anything away? Thats exactly what you want to do. They start staying inside to watch two RB's, then they lose track of CC, MB, and DB. Anyways, Ricky will be out for 4 weeks and they want to see them together these next two games to get it executed. The league will forget about it once Ricky is away. They will not talk about it much anyways because we suck anyways. remember?!

HOLY CRAP, are you serious?

Instead of Ronnie or Ricky and Heath Evans lined up, how about just Ronnie and Ricky...

Wow, thats quite an idea
It'd be like

BOOM HEADSHOT

around the league

oh cmon! you werent listening the other day? Ricky is very happy. :D I wonder if he bought Mike Wallace lunch yet? Probably not.

Since the initial rookie minicamps, the team has looked at using Ronnie as less of a runningback then overall offensive talent. He's lined up in the slot, at fullback, and sent in motion along the line.

He's not too small to play fullback, either. He wouldnt be an ideal I-Formation runblocker, but he wouldnt be out of the range of acceptable sizes. He could play a sort of Larry Centers role, even.
