Ricky should have been the starter all season..

and Ronnie HIS backup. Nothing against Ronnie but Ricky is in a class by himself. He is an ELITE runner. Ronnie will be a good back for us. He just isn't up there with RW yet. Imagine if Ricky had started every game (he was available for) and gotten at least 15 carries a game. It may have been good for 2 more wins. Just my opinion.

:yeahthat:

Who knows...maybe Ronnie's progression would have been so much better if he got more carries than he did...maybe Ricky would've gotten hurt if he was the starter out of the gate getting all of those carries...so many what ifs my friend...I think the coaches have made the right move...BOTH ARE AMAZING RBs and have given us a glimpse of next year, and our future

Ricky wasnt even eligible until Week 5, and hadnt played in a competitive game inover a year. Its clear he needed some time to get back into the swing of things...

I'm not knocking your comment, but I've been saying the same thing since pre-season.

I understand why he wasn't the starter, Ronnie is the future, but Ricky has really looked better all season.

We could have had games like this a lot more, but hind sight is 20/20 and I'm just glad we have them both on this team.

Next year is going to be UNREAL for us fin fans.:dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins:

Not really, if either of them got 26 carries a game and were allowed to get in a groove then they both would light the other team up on any given day.
Ronnie started to show that about 3-4 weeks in when he was carrying the load and against the Saints also.
If Ronnie gets in the groove I think he is the more dangerous runner though.
And Ricky has gotten 15 carries a game when he is getting more than 2.0 YPC, other than that he has gotten 15 carries when he is running the ball ok.

Well, obviously he couldn't have started the games he was suspended. But he would have been the better choice after about his first 2 games back. Just what I personally think about it.

On the flip side of the coin, I could say that Ronnie would have been better if he got 20+ carries a game and didn't have to share time with Ricky. But whatever, they're both great.

Who cares who starts? First things first, the running game is our strength and must be the focal point Quit playcalling as if we have a great QB or something...

Ronnie would have done the same if he was the main back.

I've been saying it all year too. I think several of us have. But whatever. What a turn-around from last year - no matter how it happened.

Ricky and Ronnie will work together fine. Either one starting doesn't matter, whoever's got it that day is who should get the majority of the carries. It's that simple!
