Merged: Ricky Williams signs extension/To retire after 2010

Sweet! So I guess the 2 years thing he said he was going to do has changed.
 
Awesome news, I am very glad they locked him up for his final NFL season. Would have hated to see him end his career in another uniform.

Plus, this is now one less free agent we have to worry about next offseason. Let's get Ronnie re-signed so we can continue to have a strong backfield.
 
LOL so much for the "Develop Lex Hilliard, trade Ricky" Folk.

As I've said, Hilliard isn't even a third as good a Ricky Williams, even at the tender age of 32.

And with this news, it''s obvious the Trifecta thinks so too.

Nothing has changed.

This is his contract year.. He signed a 1 year extension that takes him through the end of the 2010 season.... So that is two years under contract with the Miami Dolphins for Ricky Williams.
 
It'll be weird when the beloved Ricky Williams retires. That will pretty much mark the last piece of the 2003 Dolphins team that is still in Miami. Except Jason Taylor of course.

They will still keep Hilliard and develop him. Ricky signed a one year extension not a long term deal.

Of course the Trifecta thinks Ricky is a better back at this point. He is a seasoned veteran. Why in the world would you ever think differently. :crazy:
