MERGED: Robinson signs with Jaguars

WGR in buffalo is reporting fins are his next visit
No kidding? He is going to want a lot of money...but if Peyton is out of the picture for us Id rather go hard for Mario and get Weeden in the draft.

Yeah...we either overpay Laurent or Manningham....both the #3 options on thier team. Can't wait to see how they do when they have the top corner on each team on him.

Blackmon won't be there, we would have to trade up which I doubt we will do.

Yeah but guess what? Robinson is behind Dez Bryant and Miles Austin, two #1 receivers, and Manningham is behind Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, two damn good receivers. Both guys would be #2's on any other team and even #1 on some teams (like the fins)

Mario Williams is also planning on leaving Buffalo tonight. Any chance we are one of those three mystery teams?
I don't think so. Miami is waiting for Manning and in case he picks someone else than Dolphins, the next target is Matt Flynn. Any of them is going to cost a huge part of our cap space. Super Mario is seeking for huge payment and with less than 9M of space there are few chances to hire him.

Um, thats the point....they aren't #1's, but they will be here.

Williams is going to visit us?  Hmmm.  Interesting.  Perhaps now that we're no longer in the Manning sweepstakes we're spending elsewhere.  Williams would be a hell of a signing for the defense.

Did the Giants have a legit #1 or did the spread it out with Nicks,Manningham and Cruz...Ya cruz developed in to the main target but he was never solidified as a true #1. Look at the list of Elite #1 WRs and let me know the last one to win a super bowl--V.Jackson, R. Moss, TO, V. Jackson, C. Johnson, Fitzgerald. Fitz was the last 1 a few years ago. Philbin is an "offensive genius" where he spreads the ball out to everyone. Patriots do the same thing, same with Green Bay. Yes it helps having that elite #1 but its not a HUGE necessity.

Robinson impressed on the Thanksgiving for Dallas.

I dont think moving up 2 spots would hurt all that much. Maybe a 2nd next year and a third this year if that. If thats what it takes to go get a #1 wideout- I take that chance. I also heard St Louis is looking to move out of 6 to gather more picks. Wait and see.

No way we're getting Blackmon, would take too much to trade up for him first off, and if we stand pat St.Louis will get him at 6 before he gets to 8.

Rotoworld is Wrong.

Jags signed Robinson to a 5 year deal worth $32.5 million. Per Shefter.
