Ronnie Brown where are you?

I am beginning to have doubts about this guy. He may turn out to be a good player, but he aint showing me NOTHING right now. Sure the OL stinks, but Ricky didnt play behind a great line, and he still MADE THINGS HAPPEN. Brown seems to be just going through the motions. He isnt running over people, or making people miss. Very boring player to watch right now. Same with the whole offense I guess.

Don't forget, the dropped third down pass, the fumble to start the game, the runs straight into the backs of his blockers, the missed cutback lanes, and the fact that he broke no tackles. Yeah, that about sums up his performance today, he stunk the place up, they should have given Suggs and Morris some more carries to see if they could provide some spark.

As I stated in another thread:

"I'm starting to lose faith that he is a real dael PLAYMAKER and worthy of the 2nd pick in the draft. He reminds me alot of Sammie Smith, big and fast straightaway but he doesnt really have great vision or quickness, his running style is ACKWARD LOOKING, he fumbles too much and drops the ball too much, when there are clearly holes, he seems to miss the right cut."

yes I agree, he is looking like a bust more and more every game.

I just think that the O-line stinks at run blocking. Ronnie is a good back but we need to open holes for him. The holes were not there today nor have they been there at all this season.

:shakeno: No, Ronnie definitely missed some cutback lanes and some chances to get outside today. Ricky would have rushed 150+ today.

How many carries a game did Ricky get? You can't wear them down when you don't pound them.

How many draw plays from the shotgun did Ricky have? Clearly our offensive philosophy has changed from Ricky's hay day.

When you look at the fact that this guy was the 2nd pick overall, I'm just not seeing it. Tomlinson was the 5th pick overall, almost all the great backs were picked later than 2nd overall.

That's a little extreme, 150 plus on that Pats?

Ronnie Brown is a downgrade from Ricky Williams

That's true but it might not always be so. Ricky took time to develop into a good RB. Ronnie is still young and learning, he has more size and power and is just as fast. He still has the POTENTIAL to be at least as good.

yeah but for the 2nd pick in the draft, shouldnt it be more than POTENTIAL..

Maybe it's just a sophomre slump, I'm trying to remain optimistic about something!

OK, fair enough, but he would have gained more yards than Ronnie did today.

Yeah, and Marino would have had more passing TDs than Harrington today. Oh wait, it doesn't matter b/c neither Dan or Ricky is on this team. One is retired b/c he played his heart out for 18 years and his body just said no more, and the other is breaking his arm in Canada b/c he can't avoid substance abuse.

Point is, who cares what Ricky would have had. I'm getting really tired of the Ricky would have done this or that stuff. IT does not matter. And that's Ricky's fault. You know what Ronnie kills Ricky in, character. Add that character to a strong, young, powerful back who rarely loses yards b/c he finds a way get back to the LOS when defenders are hitting him in the backfield, and you got POTENTIAL. It's what we got right now, deal with it.

Geez, take a valium or something man. The problem is just that Ronnie isn't playing well. All the character in the world doesn't change that. Fans should be able to express that in a message board without stupid and juvenile comments like "deal with it".
