MERGED: Rosenhaus Saves Boy from Drowning

But I do wonder who reported the event to the press?? Regardless way-to-go Drew!

Funny story - I was at the kickoff banquet. I'm outside waiting for the valet. Some kid comes up to me and asks for my autograph, thinking I'm a player. I'm 6'3, 200, and had on a Zegna suit. Drew & Jason Rosenhaus are in the lobby talking to Stockar McDougal and his wife. They see the kid asking for my autograph, and both instinctively start glaring towards me. I really thought they were about to come over to prospect me. I just looked back and laughed. For a couple superstar agents, they looked like two-bit telemarketers. Sweaty as hell, cell phone clips like holsters, and looked they had each done an 8-ball. I loved getting to laugh at them to their faces, and have them wonder who the hell I was...

But yeah, this is the first nice thing I have EVER heard about Drew. So good for him. I'm extremely impressed by his accomplishments for his age. Very bright guy.

If he hadn't done it, he would have made it up.

Check this out.

Whatever you think of Rosenhaus, that's a good story.

And in 17 years, he'll be representing the kid, and holding him out for more money.

I stand corrected. Media was on the scene as the events unfolded. Cheers, Drew. He is certainly making the media rounds to toot this, but hey, his image is his well being...

He is still a turd.A heroic turd.Strange that the media was there.

Cynic is one thing. ludicrous is quite another...not worth it to bother with. What does he gain that is so important. Drew WANTS people to see him as a shark.

:shakeno:

He freaking called ESPN right after it happened. I'm surprised he couldn't arrange a video feed while it was happening.

I found this quote on another homepage, kinda cracked me up

"In the brief moments that Rosenhaus’s lips were near the boy’s ears, he convinced him to refuse to do any household chores until his parents increase his allowance."

All jokes aside, good job Drew.

I am 50% sure that the whole thing was staged in order to shed some positive light on him after all of the bad press over the last few years.
Now that I think more about it, I am shocked that other agents didnt concoct this scheme earlier.

There are reports on 740 the team radio up in orlando from people who were there that says Rosenhaus didn't pull the kid out. When he ran up to do CPR the lifeguard on duty (supposedly there was one even though some sites say there wasnt) had to pull Rosenhaus off the kid because he was doing cpr wrong, which can kill a kid that young. If this is true, then rosenhaus is still scum.

he still tried to save the kid even if that is true.

He might have tried to save the kid, but taking credit from the people who did and making a media circus about it while making himself look like a hero?
That is scum
