MERGED: Ross, Ireland & Dee talk to media; fan reaction/overreaction

i tell ya what i want...a dang franchise qb...and not some david garrard trash
And besides Manning, what franchise QB did they pass on this offseason? I'll answer for you....None

It's pretty clear they like someone in the draft (most likely Tannehill) and plan on going that route finally

Overheard in the mens pisser at the meetings:

Jerry Jones: Hey Ross you know you own an NFL franchise right?

Steven Ross: What do you mean?

Jerry Jones: That big oval thing with all the orange seating and people that take the field most every Sunday in Fall.

Steven Ross: I thought that was a homelss shelter I used as a tax write off.

I'm going to hold off judgement till the draft before grading this offseason. It all depends on what they do during the draft to address the QB situation.

Research the facts and maybe you wouldn't waste your time "lmao".

MOORE got here very late in an already shortened pre-season. Even then, he got only "back-up QB's reps" until HENNE went down. So much for developing "chemistry" w/his WRs etc., right? Nevertheless, he showed good timing and "chemistry", especially w/MARSHALL, and deep passing ability. To such an extent that he was rated the 12th BEST QB in the NFL...and all of a sudden, MIAMI is rated in the "top 5" for pass completions over 20 Yards. All despite having the COLUMBO-CAREY fiasco guarding (HA!!!) his right side, and having the most UNready HC I've ever seen in charge. He gave MIAMI deep passing, accuracy, leadership, etc. despite the "Albatross" of COLUMBO-CAREY, and the 2nd "Albatross" of SPARANO, hanging around his neck, and the lingering stench of PARCELLSBALL filling the air. And he showed more "touch" than I've seen in a LONG time--e.g., that "wheel" route he throws to R BUSH.

MIAMI better GET SMART. They had better "extend and PAY" MOORE. I/m/o, he's LOTS of times better than e.g., T DILFER, who has a SB ring. (MARINO doesn't) And i/m/o, he's way better than FLYNN as well. (SEATTLE, i/m/o, bought an illusion at QB) And the so-called "football people" aren't like so many blind/deaf/dumb "homeys". MOORE becomes a F/A in 2013, and I believe that if he DOES hit F/A, there'll be a long line of teams waiving/talking bigger money than MOORE's price right now.

And MOORE doesn't need MIAMI no mo', my friends!!! Those "football people" saw him play on a very mediocre, semi-dysfunctional team in 2011, and achieve what he achieved. He's got the best kind of "credentials" now! We could well end up with NOTHING/ZERO/ZIPPO---AGAIN!!!

You have now entered the "Spin Zone", although you just stated facts, that's irrelevant, you are still spinning it.

I think he does as well. It just takes time as an owner to learn the game and then play it well.

Ross is still green in the NFL world, but he is learning quick.
if he's learning so quickly, then why does he still have that dipstick in the gm office?ever notice how ireland has brainwashed ross into thinking that it's all sprono's fault, that all his poor draft picks is failing.

that's fair...on the tannehill part they better damn well get it right...cause the fan base is tired of bs

Let's be honest, there is nothing Ross could have said today that many of you wouldn't turn around and overanalyze. No matter what he said this thread bashing him, among others would have been created to take a couple of the many things he said to try and paint Ross in a bad picture or as some of you unimaginatively keep putting "clueless".

lets also be fair and say that there's nothing ross could have said in a negative light that would have you not still defending him and this front office and finding ways to take the positive from it...it goes both ways

Where have I said everything is going well? Or that I defended his comments today?

There was no fanchise QB available this offseason. What could Ireland have done this offseason to make you happy? Sign Flynn or Smith? They arent franchise QBs.

not sign david garrards corpse...

So did you....

no i don't think i did...but the bottom line is no matter what they would have said today you and others would have seen it one way and many of us probably would have seen it another...nothing personal and not worth taking any further...

it goes both ways...but you also have to know that if these guys did in fact screw things up this offseason they would never in a million years admit to it...maybe they're on the up and up and maybe they're not...we'll never know for sure anyways...all up to interpretation...all i'm sayin is the more these things keep happening to us the less i believe em...

i have no idea why people pay attention to those things...they never tell you anything...its coach speak for gms and owners

This... Personally I never listen to what any players/GM/Coaches/Owners have to say because it all means absolutely nothing. Their press conferences are totally meaningless and have zero substance. Whenever I'm in my car I always listen to Sirius NFL Radio, and when they have a guest on the line I always change the channel. The fans that call in actually have more to contribute to the shows than the actual guests that come on.
