It's going on four seasons soon since the Dolphins first asked Jason Allen to show consistent performance so the rest of us don't shake our heads at the thought of such a gifted man with such a noble draft pedigree being such a major disappointment.
Be more consistent in your technique, Jason and you will play better, the Dolphins have told Allen. Be more consistent in your work habits, Jason, and it will pay off, they have said.
Find that consistency and you won't have to worry about being labeled a bust.
Unfortunately, the only thing consistent about Allen's career so far has been the club's consistent request for, you guessed it, consistency.
But isn't it time the Dolphins, demanding consistency from the player, delivered some consistency of their own?
