I just got on the computer so im only now hearing about this. Sam Adams is the perfect player for our 3-4defense. I want to sign him more than any other free agent this year

I hate the 3-4 defense but I have to live with it, he would be great to sub in and out with Traylor

BUT

What id love to see more is him and traylor together in a 4-3

At the Buffalo game he sure seemed like someone you don't want to run into. I'd try him too.

You dont like what we're doing now better than the plain 4-3 we had??
Now we got all kinds of blitz schemes and coverages..you dont really know who's blitzing and who's dropping back..Before it was exactly what it looked like. Just line up and play man..no mysteries.

I agree.........the thought of lining up Sam Adams next to Keith Traylor in short yardage situations is tempting.........still, I'm not sure that he is exactly what we need from a value standpoint, unless he is coming cheaper than I expect.

Don't expect him to sign right away because his agent has already said they would wait to see what happens with the CBA.

You can Blitz from a 4-3 you can drop a DE back into coverage, and you can still be creative....we didnt but we could have, I didnt like the way our 4-3 was run but I like the formation overall, I dont like the thought of 3 lineman, it leaves to much space open for the linebackers, you Blitz and miss and they can break a big run

I like the defense that we have but that 3-4 defense is awesome if it can be run right. it's all about having the right personel to run it.

True enough, Adams is a good fit, but Grady Jackson would also be a good fit. Same size, age, etc and is a FA from GB....Adams has more of a name, but either would be a good fit for us...

At the right price YES!, otherwise we have bigger needs like QB!!!!!!!!
Adams is not the "younger" mentality that Saban wants to bring to our defense.

That's the only time they should be on the field together if we sign Adams. We've tried that defense with Bates, having 2 Mammoths in the middle(Chester and Bowens), does a great job of stuffing the run. With this said you also get No pass rush from the middle.

The Ravens used Adams like that during their superbowl year. Adams and Siragusa just clogged the middle.

ID' like to see him traylor and manny wright in the 3-4

"Saban will have to kick Adams hard in the behind. Adams had a really down year this year."

True that, and the year before as well. 2 season's ago I saw an outright ineffective Adams against a subpar Miami O-line. He was spent by the 1st half.

They did a good job with Traylor on the conditioning thing last season, but Traylor is flat out a better player than Adams in spite of his age.

Go ahead and look, but if he doesn't sign for the vet min. then 'no thanks'.
